Iphone sucks ASS in Canada! Only one provider can carry it up here and they are the biggest rippoff artists alive. I have an LG Venus I got for free from a friend who won it at a golf tournament. It's actually a really cool phone with the touch screen and shit.

I have AIM/MSN/Yahoo/Googletalk on it.

I have an SSH client, VNC, and an FTP client installed on my phone.

It also auto-synch's with my google applications -- SMS/MMS messages are archived to my gmail account, my google calendar alerts my phone, and my phone receives realtime push email from my gmail account. All of my contacts are stored in my google account online, so if I need to wipe my phone or replace it if it gets lost/stolen, as soon as I sign into my new phone all of my contacts are updated.

Any picture I take, I can upload to picasa, any FTP server (either n00bfest or my own personal domain), myspace, facebook, or send via email/mms. Any video I take, I can do the same... except replace picasa with youtube.

I can add a phone number to "blocked numbers" in my address book, and all calls from that number are ignored.

I can turn my phone into a wireless hotspot and use its internet connection to get online with a PC, or share my internet connection with someone who is on a crappy phone that only supports edge (old iphone) -- secured with WPA.

My phone has StumbleVideo (the video application from StumbleUpon -- it displays a random video based on your interests; a great time-killer).

My phone is a fully-functional GPS unit with google maps and google latitude. I can use google streetview, and based on my position (phone also acts as a compass), whichever direction I face determines what I see on google streetview. I can enable a GPS tracking feature that will record my path and upload a document with where I've been on google documents (really cool for motorcycle rides).

I can scan a barcode of a product with my camera and my phone will tell me if I'm getting the best deal -- it compares prices at the store I'm in with prices online and at other stores in my area (relative to my current GPS coordinates).

I can use Shazam (an app also available for the iPhone) to listen to any song that's playing and find out what it is.

I can put any mp3 on my phone and use a built-in app to edit it and make it a ringtone.

I have voice-activated google search that is insanely intelligent. For example, I can say "dimethyltriptamine" and it'll search for it. Find any other voice recognition software that does that.

On top of all of that, it has a huge touchscreen (nearly 2"x3") and a flip-out full QWERTY keyboard. The battery lasts all day long.

Yeah, and service for it is only $80... for tons of minutes (I forget how much) and unlimited sms/mms/data.

The lastest Iphone FINALLY got picture messaging after being on the market for like 4-5 years. Wow Steve Jobs! a like 500 dollar phone when it came out and they didnt offer it when a piece of shit flip phone did yet people keep buying that piece of shit phone.

I got a LG Dare pretty much a iphone but with less apps but still does the basics and is sturdy dropped it in the mud a couple times from my 4 wheeler and still works like a champ.
