Re: Where'd you get your online alias?
More interesting than my current name (Boogie nights + CS lol) is my gaming name history:
In order: Pacifist - Quake 1, Quake2 (DM & CTF), Quake3, CS Beta, Tribes1, Tribes2 - discontinued when the other assholes thought it was a good name to use because it's ironic because shooting people. I still try to reserve the name in modern games but assholes with beta access get it before me. I'll go back to it when I get to use it again. Jonas - Quake2 CTF - I was a ringer for one of the top "clans" (Killer Animals for you in the scene then) under this name. Back before there were things like steamID. Jonas because Weezer. Vigilante Cat (alternately "A cat who is a vigilante") - Soldier of Fortune, CS, CSS, Tribes2(?), BF1942. Freddy got fingered intro. Must watch. Dirk Deagler - CS Beta, CS, CSS, BF2, BF3 Meanelvis - WoW. Kid I lifeguarded looked like a little elvis, and was totally nice, so we dubbed him meanelvis or melvis for short. Hammysink - WoW. Weird Al reference. I hate weird al but a friend mentioned it and I was in love. Evlis - WoW. Elvis was taken. Plus it seems evil-er.

So I used to be extremely prude. Sweet and innocent me with an undisturbed mind. Strange and Gman can attest to that. I thought the internet was disgusting. Anything about poop/dicks/vaginas, yeah. Disgusting. Then I met Strange and Gman. And that changed. But I still wanted my sense of innocence. So I kept my childhood nickname of Sweet Pea.

When I signed up for my very first forum years ago. X-rated was the actual "type the word into the box for security" and I saw that before I even typed in my username and password. And Wa-LA!

Re: Where'd you get your online alias?
I got my alias from a anime I was watching at the time, Midori No Hibi. I enjoy my share of comedy romance, and it revolves around the main character named Sawamura Seiji. All he longs for is a girlfriend, but being the toughest guy at school, everyone naturally is scared of him. The joke turns on him when his right hand all of a sudden turns into a girl, and hilarity ensues. It eventually turned to SEIJIsaurusREX with some inhouse jokes with my buds where they would talk about the montrous scores I would score in n00bfest and CAL/CEVO.

Used this since hanging out in a few different BBS sites, so since 1984. Yeah ok now I feel old. Picked it for a creative writing project on one of the first Bulletin boards I ever joined.

I'll start. Not many folks know about my name, but I'll come clean here. It has jack dick to do with half life, and the fact that I've played a half-life mod for so long with the alias "Gman" is nothing but coincidence.
Claiming you had the name Gman before Half Life. Classic hipster.

Re: Where'd you get your online alias?
Hmmm, well i've used a lot of names during my gaming years, i'll include the ones i've used the most. TheJester - Q1 on Lan's , Cs Beta (used the norwegian version of it as well) I'm a funny dude :P DarkAngl - Several games and i used it on forums and stuff as well, it became my "alter-ego" seeing as i have a couple of friends who are devouted Christian's i started using it for fun and for the fact that whatever game we played together everyone would see i was not "one of them" :P Fun part of that name is that it has several meanings for those of you that see it :P It was made back when i was 15-16 years old so i thought it suited me since i used to be very cynical and people told me i always approached things from the wrong angle.. Lokê - This i've used for years (the ê was basically just to make it stand out.) since i'm a Norwegian and proud of my cultural heritage i've been using Norse names as part of my gaming for years. For those of you who's not sure who Loke/Loki really is check out : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LokiOther names that's been used : Knekten, Balder, Brage, Vargtorn, Illuminus, Bolverk, Heimdal, Vale, Ve, Hel, Vilje, Volundr, Jormungandr... There's more, but you get the drill, norse mythology kinda follows my gaming :) Loke - The original prankster
