Re: Where'd you get your online alias?
Forced to read The Stand by Stephen King in high school. Its 1000 some odd page length seemed more useful to me as toilet paper. One day while whiping my ass I saw the word superflu in the text. The rest as they say is history. (I actually fell in love with the book and totally read it).

After ~30 books from the Discworld series I got to like Carrot Ironfoundersson, and he's a captain in the Ankh-Morpork City Watch.

Re: Where'd you get your online alias?
At the time I thought C*CK was a funny word, and knew this was a real french (from france) name, so I just took it... Used to roll with Armed Nudist back in the old days when I was still a kid (on consoles)
I just wanted a name that was easy to remember and sort of catchy. I felt bleep fit the cut. I was thinking bleep this and you bleeping bleep right before I chose the name.

Re: Where'd you get your online alias?
Mine is pretty self-explanatory seeing as I live in the great city of Montreal. People here have shortened it to Monty as well.
I've had a few alias over the years. (Since 1.3) I went by Wingmaster/Wingman/Wangmaster variations of the my last name "Wing". (no I'm not Asian) Then i went by Striker. Counter Strike + R - Counter = Striker. I'm not to creative.
When i joined n00b i was just coming in to my hippie life style and hadn't gamed in almost 2 years. I went with one of my favorite songs (Casey Jones) from one of my favorite bands The Grateful Dead. Casey Jones was an American railroad engineer who worked for the Railroad. On April 30, 1900, he alone was killed when his passenger train, the "Cannonball Express," collided with a stalled freight train.
Drivin' that train High on cocaine Casey Jones you better watch your speed Trouble ahead Trouble behind and you know that notion just crossed my mind
People over the years thought i named my self after the Casey Jones from ninja turtles(a Jose Canseco bat?). Wrong. To tell you the truth i had watched ninja turtles growing up but i never remembered that mystery man in the hockey mask. When people called me out on it i was who the eff is Casey Jones from ninja turtles. Google showed me who he was. None the less hes a bad ass as well but wrong Casey Jones.
My first screename was from Kingdom of Loathing back when I just used school computers to play games. I used MREman, thought it was cool and catchy for a junior high kid, if you read it right it can sound like MysterMan.Ha-fucking-ha right? after that it was Whitecoco for BF2 at a gaming lan center because I liked to act like a dumbass rapper in high school. That become Whitecoc in BF2. My best and still used is Blakmagik, which i use solely for characters I plan to play alot. My first real character from WoW, a black NE hunter. Loved that guy to death, and use that name if possible. Blazer came from when I first got TF2, I personally dont like weed though, so it's kinda dumb. Typically on steam now I use Whitecoc or Blazer, usually Blazer due to Whitecoc can be seen as offensive and get me kicked. Blakmagik for MMO's most often.
When I played my first online game, Starsiege Tribes (Will Gman's gay ass...at gman's gay ass house....yes. it was an ass house. But seriously I ♥'ed his house.) I sat there for like 20 minutes going through stupid names until I thought. You know. I am pretty weird. So, blam. Strange. Had this same alias since I was what....when did we play tribes adam? 14? 15? Damn near 10-11 years.
Then I took a dump and spawned Ballsack Jerry. LAWL.

Means "King of Scandinavia" in Anglo-Saxon. I've always liked vikings and European history, so, why not?

Re: Where'd you get your online alias?
I saw this poster freshman year of college and i bought it and have been looking at it over my monitor on the wall since then. After i saw the poster i decided that i would strive for greatness in everything that i do. At one point i started to clutch a lot of shit in real life so i started to use "i am greatness" as a tag line from time to time when i succeeded at something very difficult.

In 1998 or 1999 I was playing UT here in Singapore. One of the "canned" insults from the game bots was you dirtbag! I've been dirtbag on line ever since. No name changes or evolution needed....its been and still is who I am.

Re: Where'd you get your online alias?
Nickname since high school. Used to go as Fei Fong Wong/Citan Uzuki from Xenogears, then joined a monkey related clan so I became Fei Fong Kong (witty, I know). Went through a spell as Deagle Dan, then Dick Fart 3000 (the name of my friends D&D Half Orc. He was a warrior by day, trial lawyer by night). Eventually I just started using Danforth, added the Sir because it sounded neat.
And I think Gerrard was the captain of the Weatherlight. I still have a card with him on it, I forget the name, that gave creatures I AM A HOMOSEXUAL/+5. Was the shit.
Edit: I am not editing that out, because that is hilarious.

Im a giant HOMOSEXUAL and I like to make people feel really gay when they get a kill on me in Camper forces. I can't even remember how I got from my last name of peaceloffer to this, it just happened one time. Now I make coach feel like a queer when he shoots me and I line his rvs with fabric softener. True story.

When I first started gaming in the first CoD my alias was Shark. I played all of CoD1 and CoD2 with that name. Then CoD4 came around and in the first season of that I was in college and just came home from tailgating and was forced to play a match, drunk as hell FYI, but I ended up dropping a 35 bomb. One of my teammates told me that I was the only person he's seen that got better when he was hammered drunk. Then every time time I got in vent they would all go "Oh shit! The drunken fish is here!" Then my alias was changed to Drnknfsh, dropped all the vowels to make it look more gamer like I guess.
Anyway I decided to play other games like CS:S and didn't want to use the same name so I went with Nirvana because it is a awesome band and the word just sounds cool as hell. And it has a kick ass meaning :
A. Buddhism. The ineffable ultimate in which one has attained disinterested wisdom and compassion. B. Hinduism. Emancipation from ignorance and the extinction of all attachment. 2. An ideal condition of rest, harmony, stability, or joy.

Probably one of my favorite recurring sketches on SNL. His performance is completely ad-lib'd and the style of bullshit humor unparalleled.
Changed the O to a U to make Cuntinental to reflect MY recurring play style of bitchness.
*plus i like the trollness it provides when people sound uncomfortable saying it, or F*CK it up in the game*

Phucker and I had been playing together a lot and when we first started playing CZ, we felt like we needed names that were similar to show that we were friends, or something. I'm not sure if he chose Phucker and I came up with Tucker or vice-versa.
