So I'm sad about this game. I don't have money to buy consoles. I barely even had the money to get this notebook I have now. It's got an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 in it and an AMD Athlon P340 Dual-Core 2.20 Ghz processor in it. Can't even run the game smoothly on low. It really sucks. I've been trying to find ways to speed up the game but to no avail. I'm extremely sad and may go cut myself. Anyways yeah. Whine whine whine.

I have an oldish Thinkpad w/ Intel Core2 Duo (2.4GHz), 2gb ram, and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400. I got it to run fine by changing it to play in window mode. Not the greatest solution, but like the saying goes: if you're broke, can't fix it.

Changing it to windowed mode improves performance? Huh. I'll have to try that.

Went from unbearable to smooth for me. Hope it helps you too; lemme know. I have it set on 1024x640 window. Obviously not ideal, but I'm still having a great time playing.

Didn't work for me. Made it slower actually. 800x600 fullscreen works the best for me. It's bearable. Only gets laggy during big battles, but it works after I installed the enb mod and the better performance mod for ATI, as well as turn the shadows completely off in the .ini. It's all good now. First random dragon encounter at level 12 ftw!!! :D

I actually have to go back on what I said. Even though the catalyst software and my computer told me I had the latest drivers, this was not the case. Also, I did some more .ini tweaking, downloaded reduced textures, downloaded some performance tweaking d3d9.dlls, I launch the game with radeonpro with all of the catalyst settings on highest performance, and I now run the game in a widescreen windowed mode (it's small, but watcha gunna do) and it now runs at around 20fps on average. Not what I wanted, but playable, and the game's fun right? Worth it.
