Apparently the cops thought they were trapped so they decided to pepper spray unarmed peaceful protesters. Probably could've just asked them...

yeah it's hilarious, the cop(s) is basically assaulting these people (felony depending on local laws) who could only be charged with a misdemeanor.

Trapped? Lt. Pike stepped over the kids like they were rocks and then sprayed them in the face deliberately, taking time to be sure each set of eyes got it straight and then moved on to the next in a slow, methodical manner.

This happened in Poland about 2 weeks ago during our Independence Day. Skip to 0:35. They guy in brown jacket is a policeman.

The end result:
- policeman took sick days - arm injury (and got suspended)
- guy that got punched, sprayed and kicked in the face got sentenced for 3 months in prison for assault on the police officer

You're a happy nation, you truly are. Besides that the 99% is imo bunch of lazy ass hats, I'm impressed that police left only under the "You can go!" chants.

well, actually the kids a UC were all resisting police orders and arrests (if you watch the whole video you can see this happening) and deserved to be hit in the face with a little pepper spray. The pepper spray was actually used to reduce the risk of harm to the kids by making them more compliant. Occupy Wall Street is now a joke, it hasn't changed a thing because no one takes them seriously. They couldn't police themselves and the majority of the U.S. could not give a rats ass now. Its funny, the Tea Party actually did get changes, and they did it very peacefully and within legality of the law.

funny, EVERYONE wants change, and then when all these people from all around the world stand up and say enough's enough and actually try to bring some sort of real change in the world, the other half just seems to want to 1)complain they have no message 2)insult them 3)not give a F*CK untill it happens to them

ive been abused by the system and I can say that it is time for a change, problem is its US that has to change, there is no peice of land to occupy forever, nor is there 1 man who can "lead" us to some sort of salvation, in the end its all of us people who have to decide whats best for the world and then make it right, we need to stop worrying about whos side is right and who is from what country or what color this shit or that shit is, because quite frankly right now as it stands we are on the brink of nuclear war or 1 bio-chem attack that can easily spread around the globe in days and wipe out almost everyone.
everyone calling those people stupid lazy hippies, do your homework, those students were protesting higher tuition costs, because nobody back in the day has had to work more jobs or pay more taxes or cost of living than my generation has, thats a fact. They are not lazy, or stupid, they are doing the only thing they can do by voicing their opinion of the system. If its one thing we can all agree on its the system is fucked and does not work the way it should.

Not everyone in the 'occupy' camps are losers, I support the Occupy The Fed people, for example. Clear-cut and obvious message, not asking for hand-outs. Furthermore, I simply disagree that every one of the people gathered is a loser. Ideologically insane perhaps, and some are just bums. Many however, do understand that so much of our economic system is rigged in favor of those who know how to play the game.

One day, in a future land containing a race that's smart... they will realize that protests such as this occupy, accomplish zilch, unless done so at the right time. Because when they're done at the wrong time, they are simply a reinforcement of hte system that they are attempting to "change." me and strange actually got approached by some people trying to find occupy austin while we were going down 6th street, and I lol'ed a lot. especially when one idiot made a comment about me wearing a nhl hat in texas.
