Terraria is a pretty cool game and this is a general interest thread to see if there may be a possibility that a n00bfest terraria server could be setup, the server client is free and the game is lots of fun

here is a link to the official website http://terraria.org/

and its on steam for 10 dollars, and I have certainly gotten my play time out of it

Is this game kinda like Minecraft, where it looks like it'd be retarded and ends up being addictive as meth?

It's actually a lot of fun. I sunk like 35 hours into it after launch and got most of the shit, but it's been patched several times since then with more shit. Even Notch gave the game a nod, and I'm pretty sure the upped combat features were also inspired by Terraria.

Minecraft definitely has a lot more staying power - after you max out in gear in Terraria and have been through most of the environment, it loses a good deal of its luster. They're trying to tack on more of the building emphasis from what I hear, but yeah, you can still get an easily enjoyable 30 hours out of the game for ten bucks. And it's fun to blow through some of the dungeons with buddies!
