i agree a chat/shout box would be cool, and it could be beneficial for non-admins to help find an admin to take care of fags/hackers.

i don't know how accommodating we want to be on this, but how about an "unban me" form. make it more idiot proof for people to provide the proper information when asking to be unbanned. is this the same kinda thing you're doing with the signup page?
