If AT&T has the HTC 3D phone I would really recommend that one, my buddy has it and we all got to play with it and I would seriously think about getting that one and I hate cell phones. I have the HTC EVO 3D and love it, to bad AT&T doesn't offer that phone!

I have an iPhone and im happy with it. Only real problem i've had is that it drops calls out of the blue sometimes. That gets annoying. But other than that i like it. Im looking at the iPhone 4S, but i have'nt heard anything about it yet.

Re: Looking to get a new phone from AT&T... Suggestions?
I really really like my service with AT&T and our bill isn't really that much money considering the usage and paying for Strange, PitStop, and myself. It's lower than some of my friends who have only one or two phones. The customer service isn't the best, but I've never had a problem with dropping calls or internet service (except the iphone not having flash).
My sister has an Evo and I really like it, but again, I really don't want to switch carriers. I've been looking at the Galaxy for two days now in depth and I really think I'll go with that once I've got the money. Compared to other phones, it has more features that appeal to me and that I use on a daily basis. And most of the people who got this phone came from an iPhone and are VERY happy with it. We'll see what money I can come up with though.

Good choice with the Galaxy. So far, no issue for me with the cellphone, so all you need to look into is how much is it with AT&T

Looking to get a new phone from AT&T... Suggestions?
Jailbreak, install Cydia and Frash and keep your iPhone. You'll have Flash, your browser won't crash anymore, and you can install emulators and Winterboard to play ps1 and customize your entire screen. Be sure to update to iOS5 when an untethered jailbreak comes out. F*CK wasting money and F*CK the 4S.

Re: Looking to get a new phone from AT&T... Suggestions?
There's nothing worth paying $199 for. 8MP camera? HD video recording? Stock in most phones already so nope. Furthermore, HD recording on a cell phone is just retarded. Ever seen a video on YouTube from an iPhone? It's about an inch and a half wide by 3 tall. Nobody gives a shit about low-resolution HD, except for FaceTime which nobody uses because not everyone has an iPhone4. Dual procs and faster GPU for gaming. Don't understand why we need more processing power. I have an iphone4 that runs just fine right now and at the end of the day, I use my phone to call, text and browse the web. Voice activation? Who gives a F*CK? No one will use it anyway.
What would make it worth it? Oh, I don't know, maybe native Flash support? Not happening, as Apple F*CKING hates Adobe. No decent web browsing, no video streams. How about a faster/better java engine that doesn't lag the shit out of the browser when I pinch zoom. How about enabling native tethering by default? How about native SSH? How about Bluetooth transfers media?
Sorry, but I'm not getting another apple device until they actually produce a product that has the same features built into a four year old blackberry curve.

So you're saying the Galaxy isn't worth the $199 I'd be paying for it even though it's better than the iPhone?

I'm saying that everything you're looking for can easily be available on the iPhone you have.

I think acid's just hating on the Galaxy SII. Yeah sure jail breaking the iPhone 3GS will give her more options but the upgrade from what she has to SII would be significant. Single to dual core, check. 8MP rear and 2MP front facing cameras, check. Android over iOS, check. Native flash, check. Best android phone on the market, check. Acid I see your argument but I disagree the Galaxy SII is worth it and everything she's looking for can't be available on the iPhone.

I was describing the iPhone 4S, not the galaxy. I don't know anything about the galaxy. If she wanted a droid she could run idroid which is the droid vm on an iPhone. All I'm saying is everything she's looking for here is things included in firmware. That's all possible with a jailbreak. I'm for saving money.

Re: Looking to get a new phone from AT&T... Suggestions?
I had an Iphone. We upgraded to the HTC Inspire and it blows the Iphone outta the water! http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/device ... nspire.jsp It's faster on the internet, hell, I can watch Netflix on it with zero lag. When I had my Iphone, I could hardly watch a Youtube video without lagging. Not to mention the fact that you don't have to keep updating shit on your computer over and over and over...potentially losing all the shit you downloaded on your Iphone, I use to hate that! The Inspire updates via wireless internet and it doesn't bug the shit out of you every few days. You might check about a free upgrade, when we upgraded ours, we had free upgrades available!

With ios5 you no longer have to connect the iPhone to upgrade, it's all wireless. Additionally, you get 5GB free storage on iCloud to back all your stuff up.

I've never heard about laggy videos, ever. Just slower JavaScript and no flash support.
