Looking to get a new phone from AT&T... Suggestions?
Looking to get a new phone from AT&T since I'm eligible for an upgrade right now. I was wondering if anyone here has AT&T, what kind of phone they have, and whether or not they are happy with it.
I was looking at an HTC Inspire, but everything I'm reading says that its battery life sucks donkey dick. I don't know if I want another iphone... I'm leaning more towards no...

I was looking at that but with my upgrade I've still gotta dish out 200 bucks.

I have the HTC Inspire. The phone is amazing. The battery life is a little shorter than I would like. But it's not that bad. I plug it in whenever i'm in the car, and at home. I'm not super intelligent on all the fancy high tech shit phones have these days, but everything I could want to do, I do it on my phone. If I had a disk drive with a micro usb adapter, I'd install CS on it. LOL! I would highly recommend the Inspire. But it's all up to you.

I got a smartphone to kinda jump on the bandwagon and cheaped out and got a midtier phone back than which is now pretty much a brick of slime now and I utter cry on the inside that when I am out and about and try to do a few routine tasks (quick internet lookup, update apps) it just wants to sit on it's ass. It's probably just my phone but I am convince most mid-tier phones have or eventually with updates will get this problem.

Re: Looking to get a new phone from AT&T... Suggestions?
Lets see how much money I get for my birthday this weekend. LOL.
I really like the features on the Galaxy S II vs the Inspire, it's got more things available that I use more often than the Inspire does. However the Inspire has 1,500 4.5-5 star reviews on the AT&T website. Plus a number of people I know have it and love it, on top of it being $100 cheaper than the Galaxy.
I have the iPhone 3G currently, and it's not a bad phone, but the internet browsing SUCKS. And it freezes on me all the time. So I really want something newer and faster. Plus it doesn't give me the ability to customize the phone to my tastes as much as either the Inspire or the Galaxy would allow me to do.

I've had no problems with AT&T here in Austin, I get exceptional service and internet would be fast on my phone if it wasn't an iphone... Sprint, however, has dropped more phone calls on me than a hooker gets laid in 5 years.

See the problem with the emulator is that if I get it, Strange will take over my phone. You should have seen that man when I got Angry Birds. He followed me around the house yelling "ANGRY BIRDS!!!!" at me until I gave him my phone, or didn't give him my phone in some cases.
Although that would be cool.

I'm pretty happy with the iPhone though it is insanely overpriced, and I don't plan on switching to another phone anytime soon. However, I develop apps for it so I have no choice.
The iPhone 4S is actually worth the upgrade (only at the discounted rate). Siri alone makes it worthwhile, and it is almost as powerful as the iPad 2 for any heavy usage.

Re: Looking to get a new phone from AT&T... Suggestions?
No word of a lie I used to date a girl who carried one of these around. They were heavy as a rock and the batteries had the shortest use time, lol. She broke it off a girls face in a bar fight for which I had to pick her up from the police station at 5am, it didn't work right after that.

Re: Looking to get a new phone from AT&T... Suggestions?
Sorry, go with the Galaxy phone you won't be disappointed. If AT&T has the HTC 3D phone I would really recommend that one, my buddy has it and we all got to play with it and I would seriously think about getting that one and I hate cell phones.
