 Battlefield 3 Official Beta requirements Posted Dice just announced its official System requirements For Battlefield 3 (beta) So if ur unsure if your old box will play it heres what you'll need
MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
OS: WINDOWS VISTA (SERVICE PACK 2) 32-BIT
PROCESSOR: 2 GHZ DUAL CORE (CORE 2 DUO 2.4 GHZ OR ATHLON X2 2.7 GHZ)
MEMORY: 2 GB
HARD DRIVE: 20 GB
GRAPHICS CARD (AMD): DIRECTX 10.1 COMPATIBLE WITH 512 MB RAM (ATI RADEON 3000, 4000, 5000 OR 6000 SERIES, WITH ATI RADEON 3870 OR HIGHER PERFORMANCE)
GRAPHICS CARD (NVIDIA): DIRECTX 10.0 COMPATIBLE WITH 512 MB RAM (NVIDIA GEFORCE 8, 9, 200, 300, 400 OR 500 SERIES WITH NVIDIA GEFORCE 8800 GT OR HIGHER PERFORMANCE)

My budget rig falls somewhere between the minimum and recommended so i should be picking up the Pc version when its released.

I'm fairly certain none of us are average users. I for one intend on running it in 1080p. That's what you're looking at when you watch those demos. 1260x700 would look much worse, and that's about all you'd be able to run on the recommended. Also, the bf programmers aren't slouches like the cod or CSS programmers. Their code will be much more streamlined. Streamlining = speed, nah mean? _________________

But I do like how you cant use XP anymore. IMO this is a trend that we will start seeing with all the upcoming games

DirectX 9 is no longer the API of choice for game devs as directx 10.1 and 11 are now mainstream. I would expect within the next year to have all new titles except for mods or indie games to HAVE 0 Xp support. Windows 7 is far better anyways

Re: Battlefield 3 Official Beta requirements Posted I pass all the recommended requirements except for my graphics card.
Hoping to run this at 1080p on ultra but turning down a few settings a notch or 2 like shadows, SSAO, etc. no AA at around 25-30fps =/
