Well first I was going to say:
HOW ARE YOU GOING TO EVOLVE IT INTO TACTICRUEL. Trollface.jpg
Then I read that guy's post and started laughing. So now it's: Welcome to being the butt of n00bfest's jokes for awhile, Sincerely someone who's done that shit you've done in video games in real life. BY WHICH I MEAN SEX.

DABADGUY, (got your name right this time)
assault riffles are not banned. if they are, why does the government allow them to be bought and sold while performing a background check on me? you are an american, right? go to a local gun store and ask the guy behind the counter.

The ban was lifted on Sept. 15, 2004. I just bought one a few years ago without any problems. Now, certain states might still have a ban on them, and I stress "might". Texas doesn't for sure.

Upon further research, the Ban was lifted in 2004, and numerous attempts were made in 2007, and 2008, but not enough votes came in to pass the bill.
So....they WERE illegal untill 2004, and even still might become illegal again very soon.
Purchase/USE at your own risk, don't be surprised if Obama re-bans them soon.

No, i can definitely say that i have never had a side or 45 degree mounted sight. I never had a problem shooting normal with mop gear on. Ive honestly never heard that. To me, it would defeat the purpose of having a scope if you had to move it cause it would no longer be sighted in. Maybe im misunderstanding cause im unfamiliar with the procedure.

I was in the 2nd Infantry Division for a year and a year and half in an artillery unit(11thADA). Mission oriented protective posture gear does have a manual, and in it does specify the use of ironsites/scopes when attempting to qualify @ range in the prone. The book discusses exact numbers and steps, as my memory is not as good as it was back then. Anyone who was had a class on MOPP gear knows this kinda thing, if you were in the infantry for 4 years and not breifed on this you either had the worst sergeants in the Army or you sir were never in the Army.

Purchase/USE at your own risk, don't be surprised if Obama re-bans them soon. Well, in the last ban, you were grandfathered in if you owned one already but you had to use a smaller clip. If they were able to ban them again, I'd still be good.

Gun sales skyrocketed and prices for guns and ammo went up. I saw an infographic on this but couldn't find it so I just looked the figures up myself. In early January 2009, gold was sellilng for about $850-860/oz. In early January 2009, Ruger (popular firearms manufacturer) stock was selling for about $6.50 a share. Today, gold is worth over 1800/oz (nearly double) what it was worth when Obama was sworn in. Ruger stock today? It's selling for $31/share. That means it went up nearly 5 times its value. That's PURE supply and demand. People were purchasing guns and ammunition and hoarding as much as they could because they feared that Obama would put ridiculous firearms bans in place. It's unconstitutional for Obama to illegalize something and then enforce it retroactively. Any firearm/ammunition ban or restriction would be set on a certain date and enforced afterward. That means the weapons I have today can not be taken away from me if they become illegal. They'll become "pre-ban" firearms and their value will skyrocket because they'll be legal to own.

I agree Gman, All i am saying is I am shocked that Post 9/11 we lifted the ban on these weapons....ida thought all weapons by now would be banned the way we are headed with all this terror horseshit.

 Re: TACTICOOL!
I can say for sure that in the marine corps you will never mount your sight on the side. If you shoot from the prone with full flak and kevlar with normal mounted sights, you sure as Hell can shoot with mopp 4 and a gas mask. Maybe we just shoot better haha

I certainly didn't write the book nor did i often regard it when i conducted my business, but to each his own.

 Re: TACTICOOL!
California is one of the states that it's illegal to own an assault weapon =/ Mostly due to that dilema 20 years or so ago when those guys were in a stand off with a bunch of cops shooting autos and the cops only had handguns and a couple shotguns.
