 Moving to Boston.
Ok so in about the next 2 months im moving to the Boston area with a buddy of mine. Weve had it with CT and all the bullshit surrounding us and were packing up and leaving. So who lives in and or around Boston? Whats the best area to live in? Needs to be on one of the train lines or atleast near it for work purposes since im pretty sure my car is about to kill itself.
I cant wait for this and im excited as hell for it. Alot of you really dont know me but ive had it rough my entire life. I come from a pretty poor background where we've scraped by day after day. This is going to be one of the biggest things to happen to me in my life ever. Im pretty depressed and pissed most of the time and im really looking forward to starting over and finally being happy with myself for once. Ive had some shitty news lately with tweaking my knee a month ago (I may need a 4th surgery well see) and finding out about a family friends son being found dead a few days ago so this is the best news ive heard in a long while. Not meant to be a sob story but atleast you get to know me a little better.
I may be a dick sometimes but honestly pay no attention to it...Im a pretty nice person once you get to know me. Youre all great people and I have alot of fun here and Love this community. Thanks guys. Really.....my life is pretty dark and this is one of the bright spots.

I have a friend, Ron, who might be able to give you more insight. He lives there and swears it's better than anywhere else. Lemme know, and I'll get you two connected! (I've met him IRL, he's awesome as F*CK)

 Re: Moving to Boston.
Hey Reilly you know I'm from the Boston Area, buying a new Condo in the Sommerville area. You should check out the Brighton, Braintree, Cambridge area, all amazing places to live as well as quick access to the MBTA (public train system). When you get to Boston send me a message and I'll buy you guys some drinks! Welcome to Boston!

 Re: Moving to Boston.
Boston is one of the places my GF and I want to move after I get out of the army. The friends I have there love it. I'll try and hit them up and see if they can give you some advice as to the best spots to live and what not.
If I ever go up to boston for a long weekend or whatever we will have to go grab a beer.

 Re: Moving to Boston.
I lived in Boston for 5 years. 2 in the Mission Hill / JP area and 3 in Back Bay / Fenway area. Let me know if you have any questions or need advice on where to live, find jobs, etc.
Boston is a GREAT city. Massachusetts is a TERRIBLE state. But it's worth it.

 Re: Moving to Boston.
Boston has some really nice areas but it's a lot cheaper on the outskirts than it is inside the city itself. The best fries I ever ate came from this small shop called Papa Rino's which is on Geneva Ave. off of the Fields Corner Red Train T-Stop. (Turn right, not left when getting off the train from the Boston area). Fields Corner is in the Dorchester ghetto.

Nice and historical, you should go beat up a random British person and throw some tea into the harbor. Then laugh.
