 Re: CS:GO Gameplay
Strange wrote: The main focus of this game seems to be making the game mechanics better, as stated in multiple videos as well, this is not counter-strike 2. But merely seems like another CZ. In my head its basically (first version- CZ) = Counter Strike Source = Counter Strike 2 CS:GO = Counter Strike 3 Because CZ's engine is the same as 1.6 and earlier versions thus making it the same game, source used a new game engine, as does GO. They can call it whatever they want but when you make that many drastic changes to the game including the core mechanics of the game, than its a new game period. Dunno why CZ gets so much critisism, I thought it was fun as hell and without it they wouldn't have been forced to make source, and then now GO. Eventually another version will be out in 5-20 years and we will all be having this same discussion :)

GO is still on source. Their coding is just supposed to not suck.

I liked CZ. I thought it was pretty good.
I bagged on this game because it looked like garbage, but Gman brought up a good point, it's still in what, Alpha stages? So the skins are probably last on the list since they're focusing more on the mechanics rather than apperances. Besides. Worse comes to worse, fpsbanana.com. :D

Since CS started competitive gaming movement, I think a good competitive matchmaking system needed to come from the makers of CS. This will be yet ANOTHER feature that is stolen by every other FPS multiplayer game. Unless, of course, the matchmaking system sucks, but I have faith they will do it well.
http://www.quakelive.comWith regards to the HUD/Buy Menu, there is an IGN article in the main CS:Go thread in the Announcements forum. From that article: IGN wrote: In case you're a PC gamer and concerned about the current interface, don't worry: Valve plans on implementing a proper heads-up display and buy menu eventually.

Go look up the evolutionary chart for monkey to man. About halfway is the model for the original Source beta in like '03.

Is it bad to say I actually liked those models better and actually had them from fpsbanana for a long ass time?

 Re: CS:GO Gameplay
Reilly, if the models were pink fairies with boners I KNOW you would buy the game regardless of game mechanics, you sick F*CK. Sadly, it would probably be a top grossing game just for that too.

CZ was pretty fun, I enjoy Source mainly for the community and hope GO is pretty good. Either way though I am sure I will be buying it when it comes out. Dust and Aztec looked pretty good from the videos though.
