This guy is going to have to rent the room 1,673 times just to break even on the house. Then, you gotta pay taxes on the $410,000 property that has some pretty major landscaping improvements. This guy wasn't a spring chicken either, if he (and his wife) die and leave the property to any kids they may have, the inheritance tax will force the kids to sell the place at a major loss.
