First off thank you. Thanks for participating in the goodness that is n00bfest. You have asked to join our membership and are on the path to acceptance, waiting a bit longer, or rejection.

Some of you have been asked to "step it up" on the forums. Essentially we're asking you to increase your postcount as a sign of participation.

Please, pretty please, do it organically. If you start any more threads on "what is your favorite color", posting a "funny vid" link and calling for discussion, or such like-minded things, I will personally do bad things to you & your family. We want to see your personality! Participate in threads already going by adding something relevant. Tell us a story in Ye Olde Pub that illustrates a situation you were in and how you reacted to it. There are plenty of interesting threads for you to participate in without starting bullshit postcount++ threads.

Help us help you. Let us get to know you. Be yourself in forums and in game. Before you post, make sure you're not just postcounting. Because we smell these things like farts in a car.

Don't really think it needs to be a sticky -- it should be common sense. Perhaps a reminder via PM or in the message posted to each [n00b] request would suffice.

Dick tickler felt the need to post it, and I've been resisting since people got butthurt about me telling resin to cut this kind of shit out.

Really tho I might not need stickied here but perhaps in the RCT section for new recruits it could be stickied just so they have a reminder if they get out of hand with it that we can just link it to them so they can reread it so they won't get flamed before becoming a n00b. Just my 2 cents

stickies are like high priority emails. When every e-mail gets high priority, how do you know which email is ULTRA high priority?

i agree with dirk. Posts are meant to be a meaningful discussion. Posts such as Lol or rofl do not really count a posts.

I think it should be added that recruits need to check dates on posts. It's annoying the number of times a year old thread gets revived with a plus 1 post.

I'm going to just go ahead and RETARD myself

But really this is common sense. I was actually surprised to see how little people put in their posts here on a regular basis. I'm a member of several other forums, where if your post doesn't have substance and contribute to the discussion, it'll usually get flagged and you'll get warnings from admins. If you continue to post things without substance it usually results in a temporary ban, or permanent depending on how much of an ass you make out of yourself.

This sort of information should definitely be made in an up-front manner, preferably within the body of the [rct] initiation message.
