I don't know how many of you will actually interested in the game itself but everyone will enjoy this trailer.

I'm really hoping after Lucas dies they start making other Star Wars movies from the different eras both before and after because there are some awesome storylines and the possibility of ridiculous action movies.

Personally I think this game is going to be a WoW-killer. They already announced 3 classes and their all badass.

My friend saw it on e3 and also said it was awsome, and i couldnt agree more, this game looks badass

Bioware crafts pretty much good stuff, the cinematics look sweet.

cinematic is awesome. i need to see some gameplay footage before i can make any kind of real assessment of the game.

After the tragic experience of Star Wars Galaxies, I'm finally ready to unleash my awesomeness in a Star Wars MMO.

If its as good as the last star wars game that came out i think it will be ok.

they have tons of videos. any idea which one has gameplay? (sorry i don't feel like watching them all, especially if someone else has already and can point me in the right direction)

this one has quite a few jedi vs. sith fights and gives a good explanation of how they are approaching the game. I'll tell you now the graphics rival that of WoW if not better.

Right now I think my main toon is going to be a Bounty Hunter or Sith Assassin (expected to be a class)

There're countless MMOs out there with far, far better graphics than WoW, but fell short when it came to content. The gameplay is going to be the key factor. Star Wars Galaxies got it right a while after realease once they fixed most of the bugs, but dropped the ball by changing the whole game to try and become more like WoW and became an instant disaster. I have high hopes for KoToR, but hopefully they won't repeat SOE's mistake.

They purposefully made gameplay with a 'stylized realism' in order to set the game's look apart from other games and they had scalability in mind and made sure the game can run on as many gaming rigs as possible.

WoW will only die when Blizzard shuts it down unfortunately.

This game looks alright. I wish I knew what was going on. I won't play it. Et cetera.

Oh yea I know. There are a significant amount of players who have grown tired of the WoW grind and how repetitive the game has become. I'm sure some will find it hard to quit just because of the time (and money) invested in the game but a lot of players just keep playing because there is nothing else out there that can establish itself as equivalent to WoW instead of a WoW clone.

This game brings a lot of new concepts into the MMO genre to eliminate the repetitiveness. One thing that is apparent when reading the developer blogs and videoes is that they have actually paid attention to other MMO games and have noted what is wrong with them and why they have failed including WoW, SWG, AoC, and others.

I disagree. I've played most of the MMOs and found some of them to be quite superior to WoW, but stands no chance because of the lack of people playing.

Everquest 2 is like a graphically enhanced, adult's version of WoW. Anarchy Online, despite not having the best graphics in the world, has great gameplay. It never got popular due to the amount of bugs it had when released. SOE's Free Realms is not only free, but the graphics look similar to Wow - only about 50 times better, especially at high resolutions. Gameplay is on par, except for the lack of huge groups or raids. Auto Assault was an awesome concept, which unfortunately died due to lack of interest.

There're plenty of better alternatives for those who are sick of WoW. It seems like they just don't want to give those games a chance. To be fair, only Everquest 2 has enough people to make the MM in MMO a true statement.

Anyway, I'll definitely be playing this game and maybe you guys could make a n00b guild in the game if there are enough players :)

Blizzard basically interested hardcore Warcraft fans, they told their friends, and then Blizzard cashwhored until the game was accessible to every person on the planet with the exception of those living in Africa.

I was addicted to WoW for the longest time, but once Wrath hit and they made it to where any chump with a handful of care could be a god, they took away my motivation to play. I'd rather not both spending all that time dedicated to being the best when some asshole can come along and get it all with minimal effort.

A "WoW Killer" must either follow that formula or come from an IP that is so widely installed in almost everyone that they'll at least try the game and even then, if there's even a slight F*CK up, they'll fail.

It's sad (that people honestly trade reality for this sort of shit).
