your best bet price-wise is going to be building your own desktop, Alienware is good, but WAY too expensive...

Desktop: build your own, way over priced, this is coming from a guy who checks their site monthly because I'm a little HOMOSEXUAL

Laptop: Their latest M17x is the one I'm getting, it looks great and I've always wanted to actually have one of their systems, though ASUS does bring out some good, nice, solid looking systems for a cheaper cost.

Ever since Dell bought Alienware they went to shit, go with what everyone else has said and build your own. The only thing you won't have is there cool looking case but you will spend more than half as much with a better system.

And if you don't want to build your own, go with someone like http://CyperPowerPC.com. You'll get a truly customized PC for MUCH cheaper than Alienware w/ a warranty.

Except nothing they have done has changed and they are still 2 separate companies, just Alienware is under dell name. So not really sure how they have "went to shit" when they are the top computer brand out.

While this is true, the latest system and probly every system that will come out might have a bit more "Dell influence", watch for the quote in this VID by some of the developers.

I'm still putting my money.....well my mothers money that it'll still be a solid system....than again I'm talking lappys here....

desktop still equals build your own.
