Post graphics card
am trying to put a new graphics card in my pc first time at this sought my uncle used to do all this shit for me but anyway,
i took out my old card put the new one in as i go to plug the moniter in there is no socket for it on the new card, it has a socket for the monitor on my old card, do i leave that card in as well???????????? or what help

The sockets on your card are probably DVI's and your monitor cable is VGA. You'll need an end adapter that your card should of provided or go get one yourself or see if you can find a cheap DVI cable if your monitor takes it.

Yea, did your new video card come with a bunch of extra stuff? Look through it and you should be able to find a connector that will connect your monitor to your new card.

Man, Main rule to Buy new PC stuff:
Check what U have and find something alike or some adapter that makes it the same.

Anyway, what they said is correct, there are DVI to vga adapters, or, it might be the time to change your monitor too

cheers lads what happend was my uncle biker pete just passed age 52 found out he had cancer was dead 3 weeks later he gave the graphics card to me out of no where should have known something was wrong then but yeah thats why i did not have any of the bits with it and thats why been i have been bit inactive but the wanker will be back to own soon Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_19
