 Mouse, Sensitivity and Mouse Pad´s
Sup guys.
I recently bought me a Microsoft Razer Habu mouse for 70$ U.S., it has multiple dpi range´s that vary´s with the use of its software, using the software it goes from 400 dpi, 800 dpi, 1600 dpi and 2000 dpi.
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/gamin ... px?pid=092
I tested this new mouse and it handles pretty good, its really, really smooth, handles reaction times very well, i got rid of the last one, it was a 1200 dpi mouse also made by microsoft.

The annoying shaking that probably lots of you guys saw, was gone with this mouse, yet i put a little bit more sensitivity via CS:S source, i used to have 5.0 but with this mouse at 2000 dpi, i decreased to 3.6, using 2.5 gets me rid of the shaking, but i need good mouse speed to have a better reaction, all i think i need is a bigger mouse pad, lol, the one i own right now, was given to me by sun microsystems in a presentation of one of their new project´s, called "project blackbox", last year. The mouse pad its ike 4x4 inch square.
I was wondering, what mouse do you guys use, what sensitivity you guys put in your CS:S source app, and how big can a mouse pad would be, to handle the movility and reaction time.

I have a Razor Lachesis mouse that I got for $30 on eBay
http://www.xoxide.com/razer-lachesis-gaming-mouse-white.html
I don't use a mousepad, my desk works fine
I don't play too much CS:S, but for CoD4 I usually change my dpi depending on what type of weapon and play style that I want, just a push of a button on the mouse can lower or raise the dpi according to my profiles that I set up on the mouse(lower the dpi for steady sniping, and raise it for running around with a shotty, ect...)

I use the Logitech Dinovo Media desktop set. It's more for the media enthusiast but the mouse kicks so much ass for gaming, a review says not for gamers but with my mix of music/movies/games i think it tends to my needs. I also just use a flat black mouse pad

WTF, 1800 dpi, 2000dpi....how many times can you spin yourselves around ingame by just moving your wrist?
I can basically do a 180 turn before I have to start moving my arm or pickup the mouse.

Damn, some mouse pads look very sweet, i will try to look for the steelseries experience tomorrow, unfortunetly i have to use a mousepad, because where i placed my laptop its a cristal dinner table, so i get a bad response from the mouse, the thing is that i had to tamper the sensitivity because state told me that, the better you master the sensitivity, the better reaction time you would get, the bad thing about using a little mouse pad is that you have to be acomodating yourself everytime you get to the end of the mousepad, wich is annoying and sometimes dosnt let you spray or aim very well and when you grab it and try to put it in the right proportion on your mousepad, the crossair flips like a mofo, and you loose shooting tempo, with my new razer, that thing was reduced, so now it dosnt move like crazy.
I remember when cs beta was released back in 99 or 98, i used to mock one of the guys who attended the lan party´s because he used insane sensitivity and now lol, i can hardly play using low sensitivity like a 400 dpi mouse and 2, thats just hard, to look around i have to make like 6 mouse movements and that is a NO NO in my little mousepad, im now using 3.0 hahah but with a 2000 dpi mouse, i would love to have the same mouse as chinababy, but i guess 4000 dpi while its good, its probably too much to even notice the difference, yet again i will have to try it.

LOL 4000dpi, I tried that once with my mouse, I couldn't find the pointer after I twitched a little... it probably went to the monitor in the house next door Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_08

Never change windows settings, it makes your actions less accurate. It's slow as hell on default
