and lol hanging by the neck? We always cut between the tendon and the bone on their hind legs and hung them on basically giant coat hangers for deer. Never tried that way though... looks damned right cruel (And funny).

It is so cold up here that we don't have to worry about brain and other head fluids draining into the meat. This is why they are strapped up by their necks.


And how do you think this is cruel? They were dead before we strung em up.

I was about to say something about the way you strung them also. Never have done it that way. I might do it for fun next time. Did you neck shot the buck? You only do that to does so you don't track them :P You gutted the shit out of it....up to it's mouth almost lol

And neck-shotting sucks. You then have to blow their brains out (Quite literally) to finish killing them. Plus if you can hit the neck, I'm sure the lung-heart-lung cant be impossible, unless the deer is wearing a florescent yellow light around its neck and you're ADD like me...

the 13 came in fast and it was the only shot he gave me. He was on an angle and the exit wound was actually through his lungs. Down and out.

We cut through the rib cage to access the throat easier. We butcher all our own deer so we hack the shit out of them. On top of that like I said, its so F*CKING cold up here right now that as long as we don't gut shoot em we can hack away.


With the gun that I shoot they don't have a chance to run. I shoot an H&R Ultra Slug Hunter with either Winchester Partician Gold's or Winchester's Platinum Tips. They turn everything inside the ribs into jello instantly.

Haha. I don't know anyone that uses a shotgun to deer hunt down here. I mean not one person. There is a guy that hunts with a .375 but deer are so skinny down here there is nothing left.
