Don't wanna read it. But does this have any effect on people who actually reload their own ammo?
Thats what I asked, how are they going to regulate that?
From the proposed BS legislation:
Section 3. Prohibition on possession or sale of non-coded ammunition.
1. All handgun and assault weapon ammunition manufactured or sold in the state after
January 1, 2009, shall be coded by the manufacturer.
a. The calibers covered by the coding requirement shall include: [LIST
CALIBERS].
2. No later than January 1, 2011, all non-coded ammunition for the calibers listed in this
chapter, whether owned by private citizens or retail outlets, must be disposed.
I'm assuming that your current stock of reloading bullets would have to be disposed of before 01/01/2001. I'm sure that after that date those of us who "roll our own" ammo will have to purchase coded bullets.
They are talking about outlawing pistols completely. This is idiotic. 80% of all people shot with a handgun live. Handguns are marginal at best for killing people. They are just better than having nothing.
Thank God I got my Concealed Firearms Permit before the current administration takes over. Everyone who owns a gun should get one if nothing else to make a statement and support our 2nd amendment to a higher level.
