8400 and 8500 are really good deals right now. I went with the 8600 because of the 10x multi and newer revision.

Yeah, I got a 8500 for about 80 about 5 months ago (upgraded from a 7300), it runs alright, but I'm already desiring an upgrade, I still can't run a few games at the speed I would like to.

It was probably one of the worst $209 investments I've ever made. I find it is extremely hard to play video games with a giant dick in your ass.

I've just got one of these, cheap, but runs CoD4 at max with an average of 70 fps...

If one of the newer games that I get need something more, I'm looking at upgrading to a 4870, or if I have enough, two of them *drools*

Two of those are not as good as 1 260

260 216
9800gx2
or 280 would all be better IMO.

You could actually get two 260s cheaper than 1 4870x2.

I have a Maximus Formula X38 MB, so I can't have two NVidea cards Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_13
It does allow crossfire though

A 9800gt would've been better and cheaper than what you got. I wasn't judging anything--just telling you the truth. Don't get upset about it.

http://www.techreport.com/articles.x/15752/4

There are plenty of choices that would've been cheaper and better.

The 9500 is not an upper mid range card...

You have a lot of room for an overclock with the 9.5x multi on that 8500. I suggest you get this as well:
