 Opinions needed: Guns and Rifles
I'm thinking of buying this:
http://www.academy.com/index.php?page=c ... 00329-2252
First, would you buy a gun from Academy? Quality is quality no matter where you get it, right?
Second, is that gun worth a shit? It looks like awesome sauce, but does anyone have any experience with these?
Pistols, what's the best pistol out there? Semi auto with a clip that can stop, say, a rushing wild pig or something silly like that? (Or an Iranian that invades my back yard, ROFL!)
Any links and info would be helpful, all I own is a Wal-Mart pump shotgun, woot!

Academy is good. They're not a national store, though, so most people probably wouldn't even recognize that name.
That gun is good, but if you wanna spend a hundred or two extra, get a smith and wesson. Bushmaster is bad ass; don't get me wrong, (I've got one -- dunno if you saw it when you were here) but you'll get superior accuracy out of a smith and wesson any day of the week.
The M4 of mine you shot was the S&W M&P 15. Academy sells them too.
For just bullshitting and plinking rounds, the bushmaster will do you just fine. If you ever want to hunt with it, though, get a S&W.
It's F*CKING baller.
Read this Shooting Times review by "Richard" [wordfilter filters D!ck] Metcalf (he writes for the shooting times, guns and ammo, game and fish magazine, hunting magazine, and many others. This motherfucker knows his shit):

yeah, both m4's are nice, s&w is probably a little better. i have an romainian ak47, it's not fully auto, but it's still badass. i also have a sig p2022 .40 cal pistol with a xenon light mounted to it. they'll be part of my "hunting" equipment if anything crazy ever happens 'round these parts :)

Gman, do you really have an M4 in your house?.
Does America let people use Assault Rifles?.
Damn i envy youuu, here in Mexico, if you where caught using or having an M4 or an AK-47 you go to jail inmediatly, the only thing that the people is allowed to have in home for self defense is a shitty 9mm.
And do you know if i can buy a Desert Eagle .50 over in the states?, how much would it cost?.
Oh and a colt .45 Revolver can i get a hold of that too over in the states. Would love to pimp out a MP5 with a laser sight and some cammo and shit.
Can you recommend me one store?.
Regards.

Yes, adam has two M4s. I have a crappy SKS.
And yes you can buy a desert eagle, but it's going to cost you ATLEAST 1500.

strange is correct. you can buy damn near any gun you want here, but depending on what it is it will definitely cost you. i saw an mp5 at a gun show, but it was like $15k cause it was fully auto. since you're not a US citizen, i'm not sure if you'd be able to buy guns here legally, but if you talk to enough people you can find the guns you want, if you know what i mean...

Ok, thx.
A DEagle for 1,5k its kinda cheap, i would pay for it anytime, but an MP5 for 15k Its far a lot more money, you can buy a Honda Accord 04 with that money.
And yeah purple, using that technique i guess that i dont have to travel all the way to the states, i can do it here instead.
I´ve heard storys about DEagle bullets being able to penetrat thick metal of railroads.
I would give a ball to shoot one of those babies or better yet a Dragunov.
Kk thx.

Coach, What state are you in? If you're in Florida and you want to learn a thing or two about guns, like what you should or shouldn't get... go to yer local gunshow. You'll be surprised at all the neat shit you can pick up for cheap! Also, if you haven't already you should look into getting a CCW or carry concealed weapon license.

The sticks in West Texas. The (annual) Permian Basin Gun Show was last week, so I missed it!

Did you also know that its legal to own a silencer? If I get my ass around to it I'll post some pictures of the Hernando County MachineGun SHooT! I brought along a few of my toys and had a blast ... get it? a blast! Ahukhukhukhuk. lolz I even have a few guns that you'll recognize from CSS (the older ones) civz can't own any post-ban autos

Fully automatic weapons and suppressors are only legal if you have a class 3 firearms exemption from the ATF. It costs $300 per exemption and is a huge pain in the ass (takes a really long time).

I've been searching the internet for this Class 3 crap, closest thing I've found is this: http://www.machinegun.com/nfarules.pdf dated in 2004. None of the sites are really clear on what you need to do to be able to posess a MG. I've found information on getting a Curio and Relics transfer license, but other than that, can't find out what kind of forms would be needed. What a PITA!

GMAN considering the fact that even a "cheap" auto is going to run about $4000 for a worn out Mac-10 .45 ~$14000 for a M16-A2 colt ~ $30000 for a mint Mp5 the $300 processing fee doesn't really seem like a whole lot.... I mean hell, p3anut's mom can make that kind of money in one day working overtime on the blackcock down in AFRICAN AMERICAN. I'll school ya on the firearms son

I second or third the S&W rifle. I also reccomend their M&P pistols. Their revolvers are top notch as well.
Other brands that make M4 carbines worth looking at: DPMS, Armalite, Rock River Arms, and Les Baer.
If you want a pig stopper for a pistol, get a revolver. You can get one in 500 S&W Magnum, 454 casull, 480 ruger, or a 44 magnum.
