I am having problems with the quake sounds for the server. The problem is not that I have turned them off via "quake" command but when I look in the console I see something along the lines of "cannot play quake blah blah blah file may be missing."

I like the fact that I don't here the quake noises but its annoying looking in the console and having to scroll a lot do to the sound files not working and spamming it.

Anyone have an idea on how I should fix this?

I think you're going to have to redownload the sounds. This happens with a lot of people. I'm too lazy to look for the link though, so google it.

This isn't a serious problem, the sounds get F*CKING annoying.

Because my console is getting spammed with messages about them not working. Tis the only reason why I want to fix them.

If you turn them off do the messages stop?

Lol. Anyways turns out using quake does stop the spam of messages.

Same problem happened to me. Don't download them off the server. You gotta go to a different website and get the quake sounds.

go to your steam folder>steamapps>(username)>CSS>cstrike to delete the already dl'ed ones from the server
