And I think some parts were unrealistic, like surviving 3 huge ass waterfalls in an APC like vehicle...and not drowning after the third one.
Then how there were only 4 people guarding area 51, and the 2 russians that spoke were the only ones without thick accents...
Then surviving a nuclear bomb in a refrigerator, I saw that it is lead lined, and agree it would protect against radiation and such, but being launched 200 feet into the air at 500 miles per hour, and landing on the hard ground below, would hurt like F*CK and break your bones?

i just saw it a few hours ago, the movie was awesome. i think the critics that gave it a bad review are retarded. there are some unrealistic parts like what he just mentioned, but its still a pretty good movie.

You HOMOSEXUAL kids who don't know anything about Indiana Jones should be shot for bitching about how it's unrealistic.

I just saw it. It ruled. I believe it's right on par with the original three. There's some hawt bullwhip action (although there could've been more), awesome car/motorcycle chase scenes, and ancient puzzles with all sorts of cobwebs. It's almost like it was a F*CKING Indiana Jones movie! OH WAIT! IT WAS! LOL!

yeah, there were a lot of inconsistencies. like, the area 51 scene. they pull up, and the guards open the gates, then the guards tell them they can't pass? Or when they find the casket with the magnetic alien in it. the magnetic field is strong enough to pull gunpowder through the air, but it is apparently ineffective towards AK-47s or belt buckles, buttons, w/e. the waterfall scene was a bit preposterous. the crystal scull looked like it has crumpled up saran wrap in it. the part at the end where the 12 or 13 spinning alien skeletons all form into one complete live alien was kinda stupid. well, the whole basis of aliens in the story i thought was kinda stupid. Oh, and, that little guy they called Ox, figured it all out and got to that throne chamber first. Ok, so, how did the puzzles and traps get reset? like that sand part, where they knock off all the stone stoppers and all that sand pours out. how do you reset that? real life has no "reset level" button.

but there were a lot of cool parts too, so in all, i give it an 8/10

You don't seem to realize what Indiana Jones movies are. Let's go over the first three.

Raiders of the Lost Ark - Ark of the Covenant. Biblical, could possibly be considered fantasy or magical.

Temple of Doom - Sacred Shankara Stones. Magical. Again possibly considered fantasy.

Last Crusade - Holy Grail. Biblical. Again possibly considered magical fanatasy.

Crystal Skull - Aliens. Flying Saucers. Technology. Science. Dimensional Gateways.

Hmmm...One of these things is not like the others...

They had something like 15 years for a good story and they picked aliens. I for one am not a "HOMOSEXUAL kid" and I certainly can say I grew up with Indy as a role model. The movie itself was decent but as an Indiana Jones movie it was a disgrace to the legacy of Dr. Jones.

I really enjoyed the rocket chair scene, the greaser fight, and the jungle vehicle chase, but some moments threw me out of the film because there's no way you can survive a nuclear blast at ground zero by hiding in a fridge. Even by movie standards. The waterfall has been done before in temple of doom so that's fine.

The moment they turned the alien skull and you saw it's length was probably the point at which my enjoyment started to decline. After that they introduced Oxley who was just a character that revealed information and secrets when convenient. There wasn't really any searching for clues. It was just his word on most of it.

Almost all of it I was willing to forgive, the dumb skull, the blowdart being fired in reverse, the retardedly easy access to information, even the National Treasure-ish room full of random "priceless shit." I would have said, "oh well, it's still great cuz it's indy." That's until they went into the room with the aliens. You cannot imagine how much the final scenes angered me. The over-use of CGI (That F*CKING alien specifically) and the fact that they EXPLAINED IT WITH TEH SCIENCE pissed me off to no end.

Honestly, I don't know if I can properly explain how much is wrong with this movie. This is all based on the fact that it's Indiana Jones though not on any unrealistic action scenes or stunts. If someone brings something else up I might go into detail but there's many MANY things that lucas fucked over along with the story.
