Thats right boys and girls, we finaly got the version number running on n00bfest's COD4 Server :D

Current Server Version is 1.2
Which means, all you have to do is isntall COD4, and your ready to go...

The decision to move to 1.2 instead of 1.4 or 1.5 is because of COD's lack of auto patching system.. most players are still running 1.0.525(which is compatible with server version 1.2)

The perliminary server configs have been set, some tweaking may happen depending on server population.

the folder called "Players" it stores your rank /stats/profiles and configs

all you gotta do is re install cod and you can play on the server

the server version is 1.2
but the client (your game) version is 1.0.525

just add the ip to your favs and join in

We had a full server going for a couple hours... i still need to make some tweaks to the config...

seems to be doing quite well, I had fun today playing in the server. I would like to see more [n00b] players in there.

Btw, did you figure out the punkbuster thing? I get kicked like every 20 minutes for no apparent reason and have to reconnect.

Hopefully I'll be on soon (I still need to find the time to reinstall it, I at least did the uninstall portion).

Glad to see people are getting on it now :) Can't wait till I get it installed again.

Ill open a ticket for the support group who is handleing the server if it does it again after I reset the server tonight. Im planning to reset the server to implament some tweaks to the config file. Ill do it around 4 am or so.. no one seems to play at that time.

This is taken directly from the PB logs... I searched your name and everytime u got disconnected it would state " Lost Connection"

are you on wireless?where are you located?Do you have probs with your net?

Is anyone else having connetion problems with the server? I have a ping of roughly 72 but I keep getting a connection interrupted pop-up. Just wondering if its just me or if everyone is experiencing it.

I only had that happen once

If your using a game connection manager like gamerail, kill that client as it causes you to have difficulty connecting/staying connected to servers

I've been on there a couple times now without problems. I guess it fixed itself.

What times were you trying to connect I may have been working on the server config files at the time... everytime i save the server has to restart to apply changes.
