Vid card won't lock in something...

 Vid card won't lock in something...alright so over the past few weeks my vid card has been getting worse and worse.
whenever I either start CSS or first get into the server, about 90% of the time the game shuts down and gives me a "failure to lock buffer" or some directX9 error. about 30 seconds after I get a message that the HL2 engine has incountered an internal error and has to shut down... I have an Nvidia GeForce Go 7600, its on my laptop and I can't find any updates online... any ideas??? comp specs: 2 intel T2500 @ 2.00 GHz 1 GB ram 200GB hard drives _________________  |

I know you have to have the 8 series. But idk if u have to have vista. I have vista but idk if u 'need' to you'll have to look that up.

I had the same problems falcon I tried installing/ reinstalling the directX stuff but ultimately it ended up with me buying 2GBs of ram and a 8600 that fixed the problem. Try just getting more ram might fix the problem :( it's cheap too.

Update your video drivers,make sure theres not a bios update for your laptop,reinstall dx10,make sure your not trying a resolution that your lappy wont handle,shit in your hand and rub it in your hair,jump down turn around and pick a bail of cotton.
And yes Vista does suck,i have both and its not even close.Gaming on Vista is a total F*CK up. _________________ F*CK you,pay me! |

Anyone hear that the latest figures from third-party sources involved something like 90% of all Vista errors were caused by faulty drivers (non-microsoft) and some 50% of those were nVidia based?
