The program itself is promising. uses up hell of allot of CPU though.

According to my system monitor, Upwards of 130% (2.8 GHz P4 flatline base model).

The only problem i might see in the future is with a large enough base of users, there might be some disruption in the live stream. The way the program works is like most p2p programs (limewire, kazaa, morpheus, emule, ect....) work.

To reduce server load, they have users with good high speed connections act as nodes directly receiving streams. and relaying them towards other users.

Now I think that actual video is stored on this machine, and deleted after certain amount of time. Cached (history) and it downloads X amount of seconds ahead of what your viewing. If another peer requests a show that your watching, or you watched recently, you send it along and the main server doesn't even have to do anything except acknowledge the request and point to the right node.

There are some good programs on there atm, but it could be better. I'm sure once it leaves beta tons more will join on.

The programming looks as though it will be composed of mostly shows that have/are showing on cable/satellite, though a few are made just for the program. I.e. spike tv is soon to make a channel there with a show called "BOOM" or something. Basically it's like Junkyard Wars mixed with bombs. People write in with suggestions on what to blow up. They blow it up, throw things off buildings, and mess around.

Typical guy stuff. I can see this, if tweaked properly, jumping off the ground and gaining popularity. Especially if they get more programming.

Certain time frames within shows/movies stop to show ads (i think the only one is Shick razors or something right now).
