It comes down to bad parenting. People should teach their kids to be able to discern what's right and what's wrong. And if a kid can't do that, then it's just as much the parent's fault as the kid's. Violent video games should act as an outlet for stress and anger, and not as an example for what people should be doing. There's a difference between a mommy and a daddy, and a mother and a father. Like JFOBP said, you can't send your kids off to daycare after school every day and expect them to turn out normal all the time.

A slap to the back of the head is the cure for being a bad kid, at least that was how I was taught.

I disagree with the belt.. I never got the belt although it was threatened, but that's it. My friend next door got the belt 24/7 it seemed like. His dad was a big mother F*CKER and probably beat the shit out of him with it. You could tell when he got the belt the day after just by how he acted. I was there a couple of times when it happened and it sounded BAD. After my step dad left, my mom was the only one to do anything as far as punishment, and if she spanked, i would yell and shit to make it seem bad, but there was a point where she found out that i was just going through the motions of that and not really anything happenening to me, she stopped and punishment pretty much went out the door when i was around 13. I knew what I could do, what I could push till i got my way, and what to leave alone. So my idea is what I was based off of and thats for kids to know what the F*CK not to do based on THINKING.. If your older than 5, then you know not to jump off of a building like deepslit said. And as far as trying 16-17 year olds as adults and the controversy over that, I think some things all people should be tried the same on no matter age over 14. If your 14 and you shoot your friend, go directly to jail, and do not pass go, but I agree with the no execution under 18 though.

some parents these days think that hitting their child will make them the next columbine kids, rapists or something. all it really did to me was teach me not to get out of line(btw i got hit with a slipper).

back to the point of violent video games. ppl think that the game doom made those kids go grazy on their friends(columbine accident). in all honesty if those kids did that and even made their own mod of the game where the ppl r students and didnt fight back they must be fucked up in the head. so what im saying is if the kid gies out and starts killin ppl ordecides to go GTA on someones ass its not the games fault. they were obviosly either fucked in the head or have SERIOUS issus with something(i.e fucked in the head).

A) Get his ass jumped by multiple kids he has tormented. or
B) bring back the good ol' days when the teachers could spank kids and make him cry like a baby in front of the class.

Or my fav personal experience C) Your mom finds out he is bullying you, follows you to youre class and rips the kid a new asshole in front of his friends till he breaks down and cry's and when teacher's try to intervene, she tells them to back off till she's done.

I was embarrassed at the time, but now me and my dad laugh our asses off about how she made that kid bawl his eyes out.
