No. Even my psychology teacher (he's a real professor in this) says that it's not true. The only reason why kids can get violent after playing a violent video game is, and I quote from Dr. Souheaver, "if they're retarded or just plain F*CKING stupid."

GG.

No. And the little punks who use this excuse should be gassed, hanged or electrocuted.

They just use it as an excuse for what they do, when in fact violence in teens and kids has went down over the years.. There is like 5 charts on this somewhere, maybe on here, and its a significant decrease.

It's not just the little punks. There are way too many parents who expect the TV and the school system to raise their children. Then when their children act out, they have someone to blame. Parents who blame movies, music, or video games for how fucked up their children are should have their children taken away and be sterilized.

I would agree if someone were to say that violent games seem to cause people to be less affected, emotionally, by video games. But causing real-life violence? Hell no. I've been an avid online gamer for almost 6? years now, and I haven't been in a real fight that whole time. No, the lack of fight is not due to the lack of socialization, I just don't think I'm a violent person, I would consider myself a more 'properly' socialized person, to be honest.

Mike, that reminds me of something funny. At some point, Youtube had The End of Evangelion (the full movie). I watched it, happily, and went to bed. About a week later, when I wanted to show my brother, there was a message on my favorites list where The End of Evangelion was. It said, and I quote, "This video has been removed from Youtube due to the mental anguish and stress it has caused the viewers. Thank you."

Wtf? lol

If you can't answer that question, you shouldn't be playing video games.

Here's the thing. Violent video games can work as a stress-reliever, or be used to assert your aggression on. As in, a school bully is given a punching bag to pund on instead of other students. That what video games are used for. A friend of mine actually found a graph showing that after Grand Theft Auto 3 came out, crime DECREASED.

sweet, and yes pinoy, that actually makes sense, and i dont see why jack thompson has to make such a huge F*CKING deal out of this. he has no real proof, the people he interviewed are actual criminals who played some games and then commited some crimes
