a woman apparently died from drinking too much water in a radio station contest for a free wii. the contest was called "hold your wee for a wii " i think. that basically explains it all

What kind of idiotic radio station was it? There was some big shit a few years back because someone died via hazing doing the exact same thing.. :\

Local radio station by me was playing all sorts of audio clips taken the day of that contest. Everyone in the station was joking about people dying a few minutes into it. One person asked "Is there anyone dead back there yet?" And some random guy answered back "Nope, nobody's on the ground."

They played another clip of one guy saying he's heard about an incident where a kid had died from water intoxication and one of the interns said "Maybe we should have done some research on this."

However since she signed a waiver stating the radio station was not liable for any harm to the participants, don't think a whole lot can be done.

It throws off the body's balance of electrolytes, causing brain swelling and leading to seizures, coma, or death. If she would have been drinking gatorade, all would be fine, lol! Except for the mild case of diabetes and all.

I heard the same happened to a kid in Brazil; the babysitter'd give him a glass of water every time he didnt behave. The boy was not too much of a good behavier that day, drank too many glasses of water and died. Of course, the babysitter was charged for murder....stupid beatch.
