 Graphic Card
I recently purchased Counter Strike: Source, not realizing that my graphics card sucks. I run source at 9 fps, and Condition Zero at range of 30-70.I want a graphics card that is not to expensive (around $100), but I would like to be able to run Source at around a solid 60 fps. Also if anyone has any tips on how to help my fps without getting a new graphics card that would be great.

You could get a Radeon x1300 there cheap and it will run source and BF2 just fine. or if u want really cheap a radeon 9550 will run source i dont know what fps but it ran pretty good when i had that card source runs around 21-25 fps on my laptop and I only got a radeon xpress 200.

Make sure the Shaders are set to low on video options no matter what. I have a decent card that can run at 40 fps with CSS on high gfx, but when shaders are on and my gfx are on low I still lag.

The Nvidia 6600 SLI setup runs everything I've put it up to. Grab a 6800 single and you'll be just fine.

What slot do you run? AGP. PCI, or PCI-E?

i have a nvidia 7300LE, it was only 70 bucks at newegg.com the price of it probably went down, and i get about 140-160fps when i play cz, and it allows me to play bf2 with all the settings on high. Its a pretty good card, and its at a resonable price. oh this is PCI-E card BTW.
