 Why is it.. ..when I'm playing, I take a glance to look at my feet to see how there doing, and I can't see them. Its like their not even their, even though I can see their shadow. I've always wondered what type of shoes I was wearing. Nikes, Adidas, Swat, Vans, flip flops, sandals, slippers, etc.

I think the shoes that your dude wears are consistent with the map being played. For example, he would have some sweet ice-pick boots for iceworld, a set of rain boots for aztec, and some military issued boots for dust2. Just my guess though. :)
