Anyone know where the best place to buy games/pads online is? Or even local stores?

I've tried:

newegg
circuitcity
bestbuy (pending, their search is down)
amazon
ebgames
ddrgame (their shipping is WAY too high)

Also:

What do you guys suggest for pads? Spring for a foam one or just use the crappy ones that come in the game bundles?

Any suggestions or anything?

Thanks.

the metal cobalt flux is the best i dont remeber the site but it had a video of cars running it over then the guy carries it back in his house and aces a song, and In The Groove is better than DDR in my opinion its more Western than Eastern, but any ways back to topic if short on money dont spring for the foam one they rip to easy even with socks on in my opinions so stay with the flat one or save up for a cobalt flux.Oh ya, you order the colbalt flux's online if you want them. Oh ya they are a bit pricey though.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=W7mklOeAWgQ
thats the video of it getting run over

and this is the site you can buy it from
http://www.cobaltflux.com/main.html

P.S ITG > DDR

P.P.S Cobalt flux FTW

GameStop or any other affiliations carry the crappiest pads ever...as I posted before yet was unfortunately deleted by mr poohead himself...the best pad i've come across is the one WITH the game when you get it...it hasn't messed up, no buttons broke or anything. My friend has it and has bought 4 $100 pads and up and they are all crappy and hard to use/even hit the buttons AND break down in around a month or so.

I.M.O. Stick with the Stock pad Tuckzer the clanhopper.

Buy a pad and duct tape it to a piece of plywood the same size. It makes it magical.

I'm pretty sure the pads that come with the game are plastic pieces of crap.

I've been in PSA, [n00b.i], and noBOLO.

So please stop talking, mister "-+-+[=Neutral=]+-+-" (uR) "cX.`IC[E]mAN*(DOBS)" "[n00b] IC[E]mAN|n4b" "[n00b] IC[E]mAN HcG |" ".gG|BuyAnXBOX" "[rct] IC[E]mAN(DOBS) //czG" and mister co-leader of ktk.

I'm only kidding with you...and half of those are before i joined n00b...and not all are even clans, freaking dobs was part of my name for awhile....gg was just some random crap we made our names...and as for czg and hcg i don't even remember that.

And i'm being totally honest i've been playing DDR for almost a year.

Well, when my friend and I tried the mario DDR for gamecube, the pads that came with the game kept scrunching up and stuff. The buttons wouldn't work sometimes, etc.

We aren't looking to spend $200 for a pad either though. :/

like I said, get a piece of plywood the size of the pad and ducttape it onto it. gives it a hard surface and weight so it won't scrunch up, maybe just slide around if at all. And the pad my friend did it too never broke in all the time we used it. I told you they become magical.

Mario DDR sucks the big one...get Ultramix two or three...i prefer two b/c of the kick*** songs on it. That's for my xbox tho...the Mario one is WAY to eZ...get an xbox and if u already have one then yippee...now just go to a store and get Dance Dance Ultramix Two...Three if they don't have two and get the one with a pad...those pads rock and if you don't like it just on the floor which is how I do it...i mean without putting anything under it like pyro suggests i just lay it on the floor and spread it out real nice with my hands and go with it. But if it's too slippery or you keep making it scrunch up(nub) then do the plywood trick.

A former buddy of mine had a couple of the second one, they were awesome. Then I got too fat to play DDR.

Expensive, but to be honest everything else either is or will become (after [un]extended use) buttkiss.

I decided to log in to say I love DDR. Metal pads are the best, but you can make do with whatever. Just don't get some really crappy one, invest at least 30 into a good one. Foam is good, just tape down the ends like I do, so it doesn't slip when you're doing double Heavy.
