Don't worry Intel and nVida have been bedfellows for quite some time.

Don't worry Mindless... Competition is always good and end-up forcing them to improve their products. For us "users" is better to have options and you might only have been unlucky with your AMD.

I'm with mindless on this. But then again, you know that any technology that comes out can be changed slightly and used globally, so like, it shouldn't matter too much. Who knows, maybe AMD fucks up ATI?

Ok here's my full opinion on this.

AMD is a good CPU. They tend to stay cooler than intel. My theory for the temperature differences and cooling capability is that AMD isn't built for multitasking like intel is, but they can still handle a load.

If you think about it, how many Servers have you seen that run AMD CPU's? I persoanlly havn't seen many, they're all Intel Xeon's or Pentium D's.

I'm a CPU monitor freak, I always know what percentage I'm using. When I kept an eye on my AMD CPU It tended to fluctuate a bit more under a load than my intel, which leads me to believe that intels are built more for a home/office/graphic design atmosphere.

I'm not against AMD in any way shape or form, I wouldnt even mind running an AMD 3200+ CPU strictly for my gaming needs. But in the end i always end up coming back to intel based system.

As far as gaming goes with an intel system, I've never had a problem. A few less than with my AMD to be honest. The ammount of time I spend on my PC's are geared more torwards my love for Graphic design, Music, and the everyday purpose that it serves for entertainment.

Now that you have my opinion, feel free to share yours.

I also think I'm going to give the latest AMD series a try and build a system torwards the middle of 07. I'll let you know how that goes. lol

I agree. Those two would have made a great team.

And Apple should have bought them both.
