n00bfest is searching for a few good men (and little girls) who are willing to serve the n00b army. We are forming a council that will be the voting representatives of n00bfest. There's a new structure brewing, and it includes a new elder list, some staff members, and a voting council consisting of a number of n00bs.

The current list of Elders is:

Current Staff Members:
Judicator - n00b membership and admin God
Tucker - Forum, subclan, and roster God
(these two cover each other's doodies regularly)

The council members will be involved in voting in/out n00bs from the group, voting on admin promotion, demotion, etc., and will also assist in key decision-making votes. There is no pre-set number for how many council members we will appoint yet. We have some people in mind, but we also feel obligated to advertise here and give everyone a chance to speak up. Here's what you MUST be prepared to do if you want to apply to be on the council:

Play in the servers regularly
Participate in the forums regularly
Abide by and enforce the rules faily and properly
Attend council meetings
Participate in the votes
Maintain law and order in the servers
Maintain law and order in Ventrilo

Council members will keep their current level of admin powers, and will simply be added to a new usergroup on the forums, giving them access to a special Council forum. If a council member becomes inactive or fails to perform their duties regularly, they'll be dropped from the group (with no other punishment or reduction in admin powers or membership) and the elders/staff will select another person to take their place.

We need active, motivated players that are not annoying, not regularly subjected to punishment, and who play in the servers A LOT. We also need people from ALL servers. We have to be able to identify these people that come asking for membership and admin powers, and the only way we can make intelligent decisions is by bringing-in some skilled laborers.

The benefits of working on the council? You get to play a part in the decision making and growth of the community, and you will probably be able to get admin promotions faster if you're proven to be a good performer. We don't know exactly what other perks would go along with it, but gosh... those two things are reason enough, aren't they? :-)

So, if you're interested, please post your reply here, and the n00bfest elders/staff will add you to the list for consideration. If you have special skills or abilities you would like to point out, please feel free to add those to your post. Please don't be upset if you're not selected. We will be choosing people based on thier history with n00bfest, playing activity, personality and attitude are huge, and also what servers they play in the most.

Please don't ask to be on the council if you aren't sure that you can participate. Inactive Council Members will be removed, and those that just signed up and went inactive will just piss us off. We need the real regular and loyal n00bfest players ONLY.

I'd like to apply for the position even though i'm about to move to Indiana in 5 days LoL. I won't have the internet back until i get a job up there, but nonetheless when i get it back i'd love to help out.

I'll do whatever I can to serve n00bfest.I feel I'm a rather eloquent writer, I'm as involved as possible with n00bfest, I'm on the forum 24/7 - This is my 2000th post - and I only ever play on our servers. I'm as kind as possible and try to maintain the peace as much as I can. Also, I quit all Gman-related things.

Though I haven't been here as long as other members, in only 6 months I've become the leader of what I feel to be a promising sub-clan, a cadet, friends with many of n00bfest's people and recently a member of the Tournament Staff.

Please consider me, I promise if I'm given the chance, I'll make sure you don't regret it.

I guess I'll try for it. I'm willing to fix my ways. I just started trying to right now. I gotta make me some better habits. None of the crappy ones I got now. So I am trying to improve my image. Hopefully the council will help me improve my attitude.

I guess I'm less susceptible(sp?) to the jokes since so many of them are thrown at me... =( And you can make sure I won't try and make up aome jokes cause I know I suck at it. Don't worry about that.

I'm hoping the council will also improve my self-esteem for it is VERY low ATM. >.>

I would like to apply to be apart of this staff. I play on just about every server nearly everyday including the source server. some good things to point out about me:

1. I play on all servers and have a diverse group of people i enjoy talking to through out the community.

2. Im one of the only ones to actually play on the source server!

3. i can bring a west coast veiw to the mostly east coast populated community, as well as being around the average playing age of the community.

4. Im not Weedman.

5. I can give out BJ's as many times as emo kids cut themselfs each day.
