Behind Enemy Lines was my favorite military movie because there were NO romance scenes. Saving Private Ryan had excellent realism though.

It's not a movie, but it's the best depiction of war to ever be on a screen: Band of Brothers. I read the book that Major Winters published about leading Easy company. If anyone isn't familiar with the story of Easy company during WWII, you should definitely read about it. They were the spearhead of the reclaimation of france, holland, and the invasion/occupation of Germany.

I totaly agree with Gman(and his new weapon) band of brothers is the best short series based on war, if you haven't seen it, go and buy it, for real its tottaly worth it

I would have said Band of Brothers, but it isn't a movie; it's a series. :P

Toy Story 1 and 2 are the best.
I also like Pocahontas, Aladdin, and The Lion King.

in terms of historical accuracy, only the first twenty minutes of saving private ryan are actually dead on accurate.
but it is one of my favorite movies, i actually just watched it two days ago. other noteables are:
schindler's list, life is beautiful, we were soldiers, deer hunter, jarhead, full metal jacket, platoon, hunt for red october, tears of the sun, and a ton of others i can't think of off the top of my head.
