Rob Halford gay effect
I've been wondering lately. As we all know, Rob Halford stated that he has been a gay man all his life a while ago. Do you think this has had an effect on his voice and is the reason why he can (or at least could ) reach such high notes? Most queers do have high pitched voices, after all. What do guys think? Priest is my favorite band :D

I witnessed a VERY non-gay person sing "Breakin' The Law" and hit all the high notes, but a lot of gay men tend to have a higher register.

Indeed, Rob may have just been blessed with high vocals and a very powerful voice, but this just occurred to me when I listened to Ram it Down: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtu20Ejv3SI
GREAT song, but jesus christ those are high notes...Especially the scream lol

And I'm not gay but I can sing as high on the register as Axl Rose, but also as low as Johnny Cash.

Something interesting is since Rob is getting older now he can't reach all those high notes, especially on Painkiller. I watched a 2011 concert of him doing painkiller, it was near awful. Interesting thing is, he's been wanting to do a black metal album because ever since his higher pitched notes have died down, his lower vocals have gotten much more powerful, which is exactly what you need for some black metal.

That's gay (no pun intended)...but oh well, they all make good music.
Apparently Venom isn't even being classified as black metal anymore, it's now "thrash metal with black metal lyrics" What are some black metal bands that are truly classified as black metal? (besides Gorgoroth)
EDIT: I found Immortal, pretty cool and got a great look. Amon Amarth is bad ass too! I was never really in to the death metal scene and I was a little iffy on black, Venom was the only black metal band I really liked, but after listening to a few other black bands it's actually damn good.
