I don't know if you all have seen this before, but here's a guide to most of the major cvars that will help improve your frame rate.

I hope this helps some people that are having problems with CSS. When I have some more free time, I plan on putting together my own guide--maybe an autoexec with details on all of the cvars--for people that have lower-end PCs. Make sure you stay away from Casey's config, as well as any other prefabbed configs--they can sometimes screw up more things than they help.

I found that rolling your video card driver back to an older version can sometimes provide some FPS gains; running an FX5900, reverting my drivers back to 44.xx gave me around 10-20 more FPS. As always, make sure all your unecessary background apps are disabled, and your steam file/hard drive has been defragged.
