That map is worse for an Elite server than regular awp_map. That's a Funmaps map.

de_salt2 is an excellent map. Very detailed, the design is clever, and it looks almost like a cpl map, but it's more fun. I highly recommend it.

BTW, the extract path is configured for the cstrike folder in 1.6, so you'll have to extract it then move the folders into the czero folder.

How about awp_city? In my opinion it is a much better awp map. There are no buy zones so you don't get people running aorund with shields and guns or buying flashes. Also there are more places to hind in and i think it is a much funner map to play then awp_map.

yeah. awp_city is better in my eyes.

I think the Elite server should just be kept to objective maps. I don't find the awp_ series at all enjoyable, they are really more funmaps material.

Eh, I like to have a wide variety of maps on the server even if we won't ever play them. There's no harm in doing it, and sometimes people just say "OMG LETS PLAY DE_OBSCUREMAPNOBODYSHEARDOF."

Guess what? We've got it! Shazaam!

I keep thinking these will go into the rotation. Of course they won't. Either way, I don't want to be stuck playing them often on a whim. -_-

By the by, did you add de_salt2 to the available map list?

P.S. Has anyone played de_assault_upc? That map owns the shit out of every other assault map. CTs camp inside while the Ts rush in and plant the bomb. It's not one-sided either. It's just hard as hell to find and takes a while to download in-game. :/

Would like to put my 2 cents in here for a map. One map I would love to see on the elite is, cs_docks. That link has the dl url and pics.

cs_docks_v1.bsp (from funmaps server) is a pretty cool map, no clue what it's doing there instead of on one of the objective servers, I've played it once or twice when we got enough n00bs in there to vote to it.
