I know I don't really have much say on what goes on in here because I'm not a n00b yet, but I have a suggestion that I know a few other people would enjoy if carried out.

The Funmap Rotation should be snow and scoutzknivez. Not just snow. There is rarely an admin in there when we want to change it to scoutz. I'm not complaining or anything, but IMO snow gets old after awhile. This would also probably bring more people into the server. I know I would be there for scoutz.

Just a suggestion, if you like it please comment so we could maybe get this to happen.

I think there should be a rotation period. Just iceworld over and over again is just dumb.

It sounds good from an end-user aspect, but not from an administrative standpoint.

Iceworld attracts many many people. There are other funmaps on there, and there's almost always an admin around; it's not hard to switch the map.

a good map is fy_italy_cz its kinda like an iceworld but larger and its funner

would it be possible to do like 3 rounds of ice and then a random map from the server to mix things up?

Well, G, the reason I posted is because the last 3-5 times I have been in there, there has been no admin. And the last time there WAS an admin, he refused to switch it. I even asked "before you leave, can you make a vote for scoutz?"

I don't know, I realize that iceworld brings in many new n00bs and I understand your point of view. But scoutzknivez brings alot of n00bs also. Usually better n00bs.

Any map can bring in a lot of players. But particularly Iceworld, because it's largely played on as a Funmap and is the most recognizeable. Scoutz might bring in better n00bs, but unless you're coming in trying to join certain subclans, then I don't think skill is really an issue when coming into n00b. Or else I wouldn't have gotten in.

If there's no admin in the server, there is always one on AIM.

u guys have admin for a reason use it....unless we get a 24/7 iceworld server its going to be like that for a while

Anyways, this was just an idea. Clearly the admins are against it but the public is for it. But it is ultimately up to the admins. :(

I'm just saying, I've ASKED admins to change it. I've even said "Could you vote to change it to scoutzknivez BEFORE you leave?" and I get absolutely no response whatsoever. Most admins completely ignore me. Even if we have 2-3 people asking, if an admin wants to play iceworld he will not respond. I'm just saying that, yes, iceworld brings in members. But should the funmaps server not be for the pleasure of [n00b] and [rct] as well as possible new recruits?

That's just my reasoning. I can see all of the admins' points. They are good. It is there decision.

Well if they are a "possible recruit" they probably joined the server to play the map it was on (a.k.a. iceworld).

Also, when you're asking admins:
1) if they don't want to play it, they probably won't put up a vote
2) make sure you're communicating both through text and sound
3) if you get absolutely no response, that sucks but get in ventrilo or talk to someone on aim or something, I think the majority of admins are actually helpful people. Theoretically, they should (in most cases) be willing to put up a vote even if they don't want to go to that map. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!
4) I don't know (elders input please?) but maybe admins ignoring you would be something worth reporting. I would try the other means first though.

i know sometimes ill put a vote to scoutz or something even if i dont feel like playing it, change the gravity and leave. i mean hell its not that hard to please the people is it?

simply put: Go find a higher-up Admin and ask to change it. Some of these lesser admins still have their heads up their asses. Most of us higher-up admins LOVE to play scoutz, so if you'd come into the main server and ask someone to change it, we'd be glad to do it for you.
Edit: oh, and by the way...polls wont do anything. The funmaps server is Genocide's server, so he'll do what he wants with it.
