Congrats you two. Never believe the nay-sayers. I've been with the same woman for over 20 years now (over a year of dating and 19 years of marriage).
Good old fashioned "growing old together" can still happen. These modern times have brought us fast food, portable mp3 players, wireless internet, and disposable relationships.
I'll admit, it was hard at times. Shit... it was extremely hard at times. We both thought it was over a time or two some years ago.... but when you can tough it out and work past those times, it's all downhill from there. The first 7-8 years are the hardest. After that, you're so used to each other's habits that you have stopped fighting over them, or simply given up and realized that you will not change it.
