OK, I started the process tonight. Paid for Funservers.com to take over the main 30 player server at their Dallas Facility, and Genocide is Starting up the 16 player Funmaps server at their Atlanta facility.

We don't have the IPs or configuration info yet, but we should have that tomorrow and we'll start setting them up to operate with the same style and flair that you're all used to.

FYI i went with the Texas server also the atlanta test server had a pw on it and the all seeing eye showed no real ping differnce texas was a few ms lower

Few ms lower and you're in Florida, so that's a good sign.

Lots of main server farms are located in Dallas, so they have some mega fat pipes cruising through that town.

i have a screen shot of about 10 people in the main server, and the lowest ping was over 2000.

And we shouldnt get a 1.6 server.

Update on what is going on with FS and with the n00bfest servers that were ordered. We have been montoring your current server game server that you guys are now playing on now, also seeing the replies from your members on the provider change. Sorry that you have to play on that, will NOT happen at FunServers and hope you enjoy your stay with us.

We have been looking your site over and reading the emails that have came in from Mr. CorpseHumper and I have came to the conclusion on a decision to what we should do with NF and the new server that is in the process of being setup. So now that is out of the way on what we have been doing for the past 8 hours, this is what we are going to do now for the n00bfest community.

This morning I will be sending a machine from Augusta, GA (Home Office) to Dallas, TX by way of Delta Airlines Cargo, which will arrive in Dallas, TX around 3pm Central time. This machine will be a HIGH FPS machine and not a regular FunServers.com server. This server will be a http://FunServers2.com server. More information on what a FS2 server is by viewing this link http://funservers.com/postt676.html As you can see there is a price difference between an FS2 server and the server that you guys ordered for a regular FS server. Dont worry, there will be no price increase of $72.00 to n00bfest, this is going to be our gift to you. You can thank CorpseHumper for sending me a personal email of welcoming FS to hosting the N00b servers.

The only draw back to this is, the machine is not in Dallas yet. As stated above, it will arrive in TX at 3PM and our technicians will set the machine up to the network at http://ThePlanet.com ((King Of Ping)). We will then have to set the software up on this machine. To give a time estimate on when the server will be up, I would say aroung 10pm EST. We can how ever set your server up now, on a FS1 machine which was ordered or N00bfest can wait a little longer for a server that only FS hosts alone with one other game host provider ((HIGH SERVER SIDE FPS)). So in closing, I will let the Noob community make the decision to wait or not and wait for an email from Mr.CorpseHumper to let me know.

As stated above the choice is yours. Lets turn your current servers seen below NOT HOSTED AT FUNSERVERS.COM :)

Using office space over at the Georgia Business Net Datacenter. You will know of us locally come April of 2006 when the Fun Servers Lan Center opens in the old Best Buy shopping center by barnes and noble. Going to be fun, and yes there is going to be alcohol and hopefully some of that shamrock green smoke flying in the air :)

BTW im going to go ahead and assign these two IPs for you guys when the servers come online. Your friend also ordered the server to be placed in Dallas TX so the IPs will be as follow. If any changes to the IPs should happen I will edit this post, but I do not see why it should since I added the IPs to the machine last night before giving it to Matt to take to the Airport.

That's awesome, man. I'll start changing the server stats pages and get the serverspy configs edited when I get home from work this evening.

You just don't know how long these folks have been begging me to move these servers and get away from the horrible performance. It wouldn't matter how many players were in there, what plugins were active, or which servers were running. When the zeropings.com network would start choking, you couldn't have 2 people in a bare-bones server without having 300+ pings.

It'll be nice dealing with a real server provider for a change. For a long time I simply couldn't ignore the price of zeropings. But you do indeed get what you pay for.... pay ghetto prices, get ghetto service.

Sorry it took so long n00bs.... get ready for a packed house all weekend long! Admins, keep those spectators out when it gets full, because it's gonna be a busy one.
