 OMG If your substrate is tertiary - that is, the leaving group is attached to a tertiary carbon - the substitution has to proceed via the Sn1 mechanism; if the substrate is methyl or primary, the substitution has to proceed via the Sn2 mechanism. Now aint that some shit!

He's really sayn that if its attached to a carbon thas leaving it has to go through one phase and if its ttached toa methly or primary has to leave through the other phase...that is if I remember org right but like I said chem sucks so. Didn't pay to much attention to that shit.

-Ghengis, read more carefully.
-Any chemistry blows.
-Chemists can only (emphasis on only) repeat what others before them have said, perhaps with an added twist.

-My primary phase of pooping is OUT OF MY PROSTRATE but only when the poop congeals. If it doesn't congeal, that is stick to other poop, it must go through a different phase - called diarrhea. WHO KNEW.
