Ok I just played a retooled, newer version of F*CKING Sharqi peninsula. It's just like BF2, new graphics, no prone yet. but dude, I bout came in my pants at the sheer thought of being back there.

EA is letting DiCE do it's shit for this release.

They're building up a huge fanbase for BF3. CS is gonna take a huge hit when this game is released. It's going to be F*CKING crazy.

BF2 fell when CS:S came out.

BF3 is taking a new approach, and trying to undermine the CS:S community by offering all this free, and cheap advertisement. CS:S has always won out because it's mindless and cheap. If BF3 does the cheap and mindless thing, it'll take over without a problem.

That's why we all love CS. If you're tired or just really dont feel like trying in a game, you play CS. When you feel like playing a high-tech game where thinking is actually required, you play BFBC2.

I have to say I'm a huge fan of BF2, for one, the games last longer. You survive longer, there isnt this quick scheme of die, rez, die rez, die rez, die rez. I thoroughly enjoyed BF2. This demo's pretty legit, it has 32 man retooled versions of Oman, Sharqi, and Karkand. Theres no prone, which is quite annoying, it's BF2 with a Bad company feel, but still BF2.

It looks... F*CKING shitty. They couldn't even make the video look nice. Free games are not meant to be that good. And I agree with Tazz, once you've fully played the new games (BF:BC2, COD4, etc.), you always come back to CSS. Everyone does.

Holy christ do i love BF2. The best part about that game was the teamwork and a functioning chain of command. there was squads, then the squad leader, then the field commander, oh shit i would play that game for HOURS! only thing that ever made me stop was all the manual patching.

if they are doing a GFX overhaul for BF2....all i can say is...im playing. i dont care if its with bots....or people...im going to be playing that like hella much. of the entire BF series, 2 was my all time fav because of that (with secret weapons of WW2 as a close second. jetpack C-4 thier rocket planes!!!!)

definatly gotta look into this when i get home.

sadly, no squads yet. no Commander. Also, one agitating thing is you can't swap your kit once you in game. you pick a soldier and thats what your stuck with.
