I'm going to make a wild guess that this post is addressed to me. Do you want me to apologize that you, as an individual, did not find my post funny? How do I take for granted and respect members much newer than myself that continue to ignore guidelines?

As far as this thread is concerned, the people that made comments on the post wasted this guys time with a bunch of computer jargon and didn't even answer the mans question.

Anyways, I've been building and customizing computers since 1996. The idea behind building a computer is to not spend too much money on building a system that is not specific to a person's needs. Every 2 years computers are outdated and it is really unnecessary to waste money buying expensive parts when they first come out. If you want to make a good investment on a machine, get a good power supply, Motherboard, case/tower, and be sure to protect it from power surges. Everything else can be upgraded depending on the uses. Your system looks good. If I was going to upgrade anything, it would be the video card (for gaming). Depending on if you are running low on storage space, add another Hard drive. (1TB) would be plenty for me since I do frequent backups. If you wanted to buy an expensive sound card go for it. But maybe an external storage device would be good in case of hard drive failure or a Blue Ray Burner as a backup solution.

My point being is that usually after having a computer for a good time, the data is the most important thing you want to keep from losing. Movies, Pictures, customized game files, school projects, etc. Sound is the last thing I would upgrade on a computer. I use headphones for gaming also since I get home late at night and I'm sure my wife would not appreciate it if I was being loud when she is trying to sleep. Not sure if that is a concern for you, but you might have neighbors, small children, or a boyfriend/girlfriend that lives with you. A receiver w/ speakers and all that noise takes up space also.

I recommend looking into a vid card upgrade or an external HD or Blue Ray Burner. 4.7 gigs for a storage solution versus 50gigs.
