*Click Trailer Above* If you are like me and love the samurai code, feudal Japan, blood and guts, debauchery, and overall kick ass movies...set aside 2 hours for this AMAZINGLY done movie about 13 retired samurai called back to action...I saw it on Verizon OnDemand, probably can be seen on Comcast as well.

Takashi Miike's remake is one of the best films I've seen in 2011 and possibly one of the action films I've ever seen. The plot of the film has a samurai asked to quietly put a plan together that will assassinate the heir to the Shogunate. The problem is the heir is dangerously and homicidally insane and people fear that if he takes the throne everyone will die for his own amusement (the guy really is evil). The samurai gathers together a band of men who he can trust and they set about setting a trap to snare their target. The film's climax comes in a sustained 40 plus minute battle scene that will impress even the most jaded action movie lover.

This film floored me. It's a slow building tale of honor and loyalty that ha sights and sounds the likes of which I've never seen. It's a film that raises the stature of the already impressive director to the level of the greatest directors of all time. What he accomplishes is truly amazing.

It's a magnificent film that is one that needs to be seen. The Japanese film industry (or any film industry for that matter) is simply not doing epics of this sort unless they are loaded with tons of computer manipulated images. They are the sort of things that are the reasons many of us attended the movies with any regularity.

I think the film is one of the best of the year, go see it!.

I want to see this movie ASAP.

Yup I saw IP man 1 and 2 and they are both amazing. The fact that it's Bruce Lee's master is just an added bonus.

Nice color tone on this one. I'm always disappointed by the storyline when it comes to Chinese/Hong Kong movies but the Japanese ones are usually much better. I must watch :)

I've watched all the classic samurai movies so this is something I'll definitely look into seeing, it looks good.

I loved this movie. It was kind of gory and freaked me out and actually made me stop eating. But I loved the plot and Everything else about it :D
