Pearl harbors deathtoll was massive, but it was military vs military and 90% of the casualties were military, or military affiliated. They bombed a naval station...we were at war with them...sounds like good ole military strats to me.

So as a resort to what they did, we fucked up a quarter of thier population for the next 600 years. they fucked up 1/12 of a percent of ours for one generation. that sounds like flat out genocide to me.

they admitted that they were wrong, unlike other countries, and became one of our closest echonomic parters growing up. when we have disasters, yes, guess what. we get aid from japan too. wanna know whats different from us sending them aid and them sending us? we dont report on it because it would make us look bad.

on top of it, Japan was right at our side in Iraq and in afgan too. I have personaly seen this, they fight along side us in what we believe in.

It's funny to me, that the only events people even mention about Japan, are Hiroshima, and Nagasaki. It's like people think those are the only 2 major events, were the Japanese had a major loss. Operation Hailstone was payback enough, and it's the only comparable event I can think of. Not to mention all the other things they went through. It's sad that there are people out there, that think this tsunami is funny. Like they won't be effected by it, just because it happened across the world. I don't care what past problems we have had, those were war times. Times like this call for sympathy. I'm glad our country is puttin a good effort into helping Japan. It's going to take a long time to recover from something like this.
