Carpooling. I recommend this. Some of us Texas folks will be carpooling, if you want to car pool, contact the respective parties.

**EQUIPMENT YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY NEED.**

22ch radio that is capable of sub channels. We're talking 80 acres of ground that we need to cover. We need to know where are team is and what they're doing. Teamwork is ESSENTIAL. You can usually find good ones at sporting good stores that come in packages of two with ear pieces etc. for around $60. You can pick up a pair of Motorola Talkabouts for about $60 brand new on eBay and they come with a base charger. This would probably be your best deal.

Jersey. Here is the jersey we will be using:

DEADLINE FOR JERSEY ORDERS WILL BE JULY 31ST. On that date, we will order the jerseys. If you want your jersey mailed to you, you'll want to contact him and work that out, otherwise you'll get it at the event. Along with the money order, please include a letter inside with your in game name.

There will be numbers on the jersey. The numbers will indicate the month and year you signed up for n00bfest. (forum sign up date.) So, I signed up April 27th, 2004. So the number on my jersey will be '44'. April, 2004.

I CANNOT STRESS HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO GET A JERSEY. OUR JERSEYS WILL BE UNIFORM, SO DON'T GO OUT AND GET YOUR OWN. ♥

As far as guns, in my eyes (Strange) It's not the gun thats great, it's the user. So if you've got something that works, bring it. I do have some extras, while not fancy (Spyder's) They will get the job done. If you need help on guns, guns accessories and upgrades feel free to ask myself (mechanical markers), Omega (Electronic Markers) or even Chris (electronic markers) for any advice on this if need be. There are rumors of the field renting guns. (Mask, gun, pod packs.) I will confirm this.

Pod packs. You can get these cheap at academy or local sports store. Online is a better place to shop though, I normally shop at http://www.tippmannpros.com................................. and http://www.tippmann.com.................................. ansgear.com and opsgear.com are good sites for gear as well.

Quarters. Camping. Bring a tent. If you don't have a tent consult fellow players attending and see what we can do to get you in one, or about buying one.

depending on where ill be PCSing to, i might be down. its going to be state side i know that, but i have no idea exactly where as i have yet to come up on orders. places im looking at are florida supporting the navy or illinois supporting the airforce. once i know where im going to be stationed, ill give you a thumbs up or a thumbs slightly canted to the side.

I might actually be able to con my wife into letting me do this if I bring my son along, :)

I can guarantee you that this will be one of the best paintball events you've ever been to. It gets featured in tons of paintball magazines every year, from Splatter to Action Pursuit Games. There will be over 1000 participants. The goal is to set up a n00bfest team and a.) be one of the best teams on the field and b.) give n00bfest some good publicity as the best gaming community out there and c.) butt touching and F*CKING face rape to the nth power. If you have the opportunity and the means, you will not want to miss this. If anyone really wants to go and has issues that we could probably sort out as a group, just hit me up. Be sure to check out their website and some pictures and videos on youtube to get a good idea of how much fun this weekend is gonna be.

Do you require yoru own gear is my only question, then I will contemplate going.

can someone take a look around some websites and see if we can find anyplace that makes jerseys? we need to see who is comming, see if they are ACTUALY comming instead of flaking at the last min, get jerseys with our n00b names on the back in n00b colors, and all that jazz.

We've got to get a large n00b force and wreck this place.

Large n00b force is exactly what we need. No less than 10, preferably. I have a few guns I can probably loan out, but we'll talk more about it later down the road. The important thing now is to register around March-ish so that we know for a fact who is going in advance. We're gonna ALL need radios that have subchannels (like channel 8.33 instead of the cheap ones that just have like 20 channels with no subchannels). I'd say they're almost if not more important than guns, because if we travel as a team, we've gotta be able to communicate. Everyone will be put out and will have to take a 10 minute walk to the nearest dead zone. By the time you get back from the dead zone, we'll probably already have moved on to a new objective. This is why radios are imperative. And also why this is so much fun.

If we do well enough as a team, we win shit and get chosen as best team and get our pictures taken and put in paintball magazines. Tell me THAT isn't great publicity for n00bfest.

Oh and even if you've never played before and/or suck, it doesn't matter. PB is TONS of fun regardless!
