I have been looking for a new RPG to play since really all others have not been able to keep me entertained too long. I used to play WoW and I recently stopped playing AION again just because it was boring. But Anyways Guild Wars 2 isn't out yet but has really sparked my interest. And after watching some of the trailers and reading up on it I think I am going to consider playing pretty seriously. I also wanted to see if anyone else from the n00b community is considering getting it and would want to play quiet regularly. I'd like to have several n00b members at least to play with. Anyways let me know what you think.

I played an completed every GW yet, and had tons of fun doing so. I will be getting the game, AND playing it often, just not sure when.

The only thing that I didn't like from GW1 was that when I was soloing quests and stuff, there was no one around me. I felt like I was the only one playing and it's supposed to be an MMO ya know? I hope they change it so you can see and talk to other people all over the world, not just in the cities.

I read that they are adding in specific areas where you can interact with other people online (not just in cities).
Quote:
Guild Wars Wiki There will be changes to the instancing system used. Persistent areas, similar to those traditionally used in other online multiplayer games, will be introduced to Guild Wars which may allow players to meet and interact while exploring. Instances will still be used to further storytelling within the game and for missions and dungeons.
Plus you are able to do quests online with a group or party of online people.

Pretty sure its like 4th quarter next year. Not 100% sure.
Mind you they could change the release date anytime they want.

I saw this trailer before. It looks like a pretty sick game. I never played GW1 cause my friend said it was boring. I will wait for someone to try it out and then I will get it if they like it.

Like most of these games to get the really cool shit you gotta grind it out.. supposedly they made a real effort in GW2 to not have this happen so much. That is if they ever release it.

The best part of guildwars was the PvP. It destroyed every other mmo's PvP easily. In the new one there's supposed to be PvP similar to GW1, possibly better, but these is also supposed to be more room for the grindan players to level up endlessly like WoW. Gaile used to talk about the limited returns from grindan past a certain point, basically your character reaches a level and then plateaus, she failed to elaborate on what benefits you would gain leveling past that plateau.
Yeah honestly I plan on getting into this game and playing it a lot when it comes out unfortunately we have no idea when it will be released only speculation.
